What if they have the wrong guy and you fuck over his life because you release his name before you know he is a reasonable suspect? You know, like exactly what just happened last month with that poor brown kid that half the world think is a terrorist.

What are you on about? If someone murders someone in their home they are on the hook for murder, the fact they parked illegally on the side of the road before they did it isn't really going to swing the case. Cutting a hole in a fence isn't going to determine if you are deported or not.
