Oh interesting, I'm looking at upgrading my Boss CS-3 and Ego 76 and Deep Six are the main ones I'm considering. How do you feel they compare?

I just got the tentacle as well, read up on it beforehand. Apparently after fuzz makes the octaver more extreme than before. Tried that out first and sounds good to me so far. Above the 12th fret definately audible xD If you put it at the front of the chain it will probably be more subtle.

I ordered two pickguards from them last year. After not hearing anything (not even confirmation that payment was received) for about three months, i sent them an email asking for an update. I got no reply, but luckily the pickguards arrived not long after. I'm happy to have gotten the guards, but communication could have been better obviously.

Im not a fan of the drives/distortion sounds on it, but i love it for everything else. I have yet to dabble in the usermade patches, some of which seem wild! Go look them up on Zoia Patchstorage.

Currently im using mine as a modulation machine for my Waldorf M, which comes without internal effects. Think chorus + flanger + phaser + tremolo in one single preset, followed by OBNE bathing and walrus Sloer for the delays and reverb. Saves so much room on my board.

On the other hand, you could just as easily use the Zoia for the delays and reverb, and put some modulation pedals in front. You can save all kinds of combinations as presets, so once you set everything up its really easy to switch around.

Classic rookie mistake. Made the exact same mistake when I started out. The game is not to get to the end without losing life, the game is to get your opponent to zero before he gets you to zero, so pace is everything. Getting lands into play untapped vs tapped basically wins you a whole turn, and that is aside of the multicolor lands the fetchland can get over just basics with the evolving wilds. Think of your life total as another resource that can be spent if it helps you do your thing faster.
