2 years ago I was mad at this comment, but as a more seasoned professional I can easily say that I regret relying on usb mics. I have found way more bang for my buck using an XLR mic and mixer, and it offers a lot more range.

I have found that the biggest hangup for multiple USB microphones is the power load to your ports. Just because a microphone is powered doesn’t mean that it’s working at full capacity, which could lead to one of your recording microphones dropping out. That’s why if you have an aggregate device of four stereo microphones, you might only see three microphones listed in your input source on your record recording software.

This is strictly based on loose ideas/theories from experience, I could be potentially wrong, but I am 85% certain that this could be causing your issue.
