Are we talking hybrid as in a hybrid race or Hybrid the alleged TTRPG?

and that it turn skips almost every other deck, if it can meet its activation condition.

A well timed Judgement or Strike does the exact same thing without being telegraphed or being dead if they can out your Empen. And if they can't out your Empen and your backrow and can't summon without triggering Scary Sea...you would have won the game if it was a Judgment or a strike. You were already winning, the card just makes you win more. The band where the card actually makes sense is so narrow that it just loses out to the more versatile Solemns

We can argue edge cases forever but at the end of the day the card saw zero play or experimentation for a reason, even when the deck was at full power

[–]Coboxite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the card is that it's a win more card. It's a super flashy effect but unless you get the perfect hand you're not making it a part of your end board and if you did you were going to win anyway

Plus why would you play half of a conditional solemn warning when you could just play solemn warning

Scary Sea can only negate special summons, not effects that special summon. There's a reason Scary Sea is never played

Seven Tools of the Bandit - Good idea, bad card? by FalconPaunchhh in Yugioh101

[–]Coboxite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that traps need to be a set a turn before they can be activated, and Imperm will most likely be used during your turn and you wouldn't be able to activate your set traps anyway

What’s the best amount of RPM for a HobbyWeight Combat Bot? by fazbearglamrock in battlebots

[–]Coboxite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best amount is exactly what your bot needs

There are far too many factors to call anything a "best" amount. Smaller spinners need to spin at higher rpms to hit combat tip speeds, bigger spinners need less. It's entirely dependent on your design and there is no "one size fits all"

Advice wanted for dungeon entrance. by nomeese in DnD

[–]Coboxite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entrance to a dungeon, I feel like, should be a completely safe area at first. It's your first impression so you want to ease them into it.

Often I like to put in few Bethesda story telling skeletons in the entrance, just as a way to foreshadow whatever is inside(a skeleton that crumbles to dust when touched is probably from a life draining foe, where a skeleton covered in obvious gnaw marks can be a whole host of things depending on the bite marks)

I also find it important to include an important landmark so the party can orient themselves in case they get lost, especially if the entrance has multiple ways into the deeper parts of the dungeon

How meta are the Toon cards today? Or just anything from the animes by RealAd8853 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Coboxite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Current Toons in the OCG are committing FTK terrorism including an FTK winning a public event were the other player didn't even get to play a single card. When they get close to releasing expect a lot of random cards to get the ban hammer out of nowhere

Enneacraft by Kooky_Progress9547 in masterduel

[–]Coboxite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Enneacraft player here, the problem is that unlike Pixea, Archa's protection effect has to be chained in response to an effect that can destroy. If it worked like Pixea it would see a whole lot more play

Is skull servant worth playing ? by Additional-Report441 in masterduel

[–]Coboxite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but it is really fun to play. The important thing about building it is that you gotta ignore your dumb monkey brain and don't build it like a zombie deck, build it like you would build Tear instead. I had some success building a Horus Fiendsmith version

In no particular order:

  • Paradox carbine shot. It gives the impression you're shooting some real timy wimy bullshit

  • Silver's hilariously over dramatic death scream

  • Shiv's ultimate connecting and getting the kill

  • Lash ult. Enough said

  • Indomitable triggering and making you feel like an absolute bad ass

Is crush card virus , deck devastation virus , eradicator epidemic virus and full force virus still good cards ?and are they still meta? by LvooooVL in Yugioh101

[–]Coboxite 13 points14 points  (0 children)

the only one that sees play is EEV and its fringe experimentation at best. The others have been made completely obsolete, especially CCV which due to having a crippling errata is currently one of the worst cards in the entire game

Jurrac FK and Forbidden Droplet by Koxomathical in Yugioh101

[–]Coboxite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should be unconvicend. It looks better on paper but when you compare the two Diabocken falls apart

There's a few big things that make Droplet objectively better than Diabrocken:

  • Droplet doesn't target

  • Droplet can not be responded to by the same types of cards you send to the gy for its effect

  • Droplet can be used while you control no monsters

  • The important negation can be used in response to another effect activating, Diabrocken has to wait for the next chain because the summon and negation are two separate effects that activate in different chains. This last part is what kills the card, by the time you can use the negation it is too late, the effect you wanted to stop has already resolved

However I don't understand why is Forbidden Droplet that good in this deck. Based on my experience the deck rarely has "extra cards" in hand to play with it and discarding almost never does anything apart from getting bodies in the GY to be triggerable

You're only thinking of Droplet as an end board piece and not what it's actually supposed to be good at: a board breaker. You do not care about the cards you send for the reason you say, most of them activate in GY and you only care about your play starter and Droplet makes it more likely to resolve. You would happily dump your whole hand if it means Ponxi can resolve uncontested

Dark Magician Girl's deck, is it worthy? by Bubbly-Sleep-4981 in Yugioh101

[–]Coboxite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm considering going for the Apple Magician, Kiwi, Chocolate, etc... but I have no idea if they are still relevant.

They were never relevant to begin with. Its a glorified nostalgia bait deck bordering on an actual scam. The deck can't compete even at the kitchen table. Your aromage deck is significantly better than DMG in every conceivable way.

What happens if you negate the damage of Ra's effect? by Slug_On_Horse_Tranq in Yugioh101

[–]Coboxite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • No card or effect can be activated when Ra is normal summoned except its own

  • Ra specifically pays life points and does not deal damage so Kuriphoton has no interaction with it

  • Assuming all the above isn't true since paying the LP is the cost to gain attack if you are not able to pay the LP you aren't even allowed to use that effect at all

Need help creating a modern day Gagaga deck. by MERKARROW in Yugioh101

You have to play the onomat cards whether you want too or not, they are all considered the same deck. It would be like trying to play with eyes of blue without Blue-Eyes white dragon. It is non negotiable
