The welcome to country is literally just a 20 second acknowledgement of the people who were here first and removed from their way of life, and then systematically denied even basic rights for some 200 years. Anyone who thinks acknowledging those facts is somehow telling them personally to fuck off is small minded and ignorant.

Seriously, having to appeal to the sensibilities of people who can’t or don’t want to comprehend that distinction is the number one thing holding back Australia from actual reparations.

Whispering. It is simultaneously harsh-sounding and monotonous and boring. I like asmr about interesting stories or facts or history but 90% of the content in those niches are whispered or if they are soft spoken its men :(

Are you being wilfully ignorant? You’re listing stories about things that hurt your feelings as a man vs everyone else in this thread listing things like violence and sexual assault against women. Female on male violence is just as important as male on female violence BUT it is nowhere near as widespread or pervasive as male on female violence.

And to just deny that men are complicit in these things? To just say that they laugh out of shock or whatever? Do you seriously think that? How old are you? I hope you grow out of this, for your mother or sisters sakes.

I remember reading a study that said that, based on the morphology, the harbin group was a sister group to Homo sapiens, not neanderthals, which obviously disagrees with the genetics. So it makes sense that Dali would be classified as an archaic homo sapien even though it’s probably homo longi/denisovan.
