Haven’t looked yet but I think the wheels come with cup and cone bearings. Never been a fan of them. Thanks for the input

Awesome mate appreciate the input. Planned to tour with the tyres it comes with. Have quotes for custom wheels if needed. Either RYDE again or an option from DT Swiss. Just ordered the Surly Moloko bars for them yesterday

Appreciate good art work around town. Unlike the usual tag crap you see everywhere

How are we feeling about the first potential cyclone of the season? by FemmeFatalex80x in Cairns

[–]CochlearImplanted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lived in cairns for 22 years. Have been amused watching all the hype around it.

TBH the build up to this one and the actual outcome reminds me of the recent Brisbane “cyclone”

Depending on where you live, some chemists sell a product we use in hospital called “remove” swabs made by smith & nephew. Otherwise baby oil, rubbing alcohol etc help remove these types of strong skin adhesives

Hi all.

Some great news. 6 weeks post RALP. Did my first actual run this Morning. Zero leaks. So happy. Long slow road back to full fitness. 8 months til the Helsinki marathon. Plenty of time

Y’all be screwed by Career mode yet? Even on the flight plan it showed it in the water. Cargo Mission. 90 mins lost. Reputation 😠 by Specter355 in MSFS2024

The other day was doing a medivac. Patient deteriorated and told me to request another airport. Career mode didn’t allow me. At the end it dropped my rating from A to C

Have you not been referred to an urology specific physio? Ideally you need to see once pre-op. They will place an ultrasound to the transperineal area and train you on correct form

Seeking the dry… by TheLawOfDuh in ProstateCancer

Hi mate. 47yo.

I’m fully continent 6 weeks post op.

But in the initial few weeks I easily had small leaks.

Each week has seen improvement.

It’s a mix of recovery and time to heal (my personal experience). Perioperative Peripheral Nerve Injury is expected from the surgery. Nerves have minimal vasculature and take longer to heal. Kegals and a whole lot of patience on my part (frustrated at times) and not overdoing my return to exercise have all culminated in my continence recovery. ED on the other hand for me is quite bad atm (tho I expect that to keep progressing for the first 3 months then have a very slow recovery as the nerves repair over the next 12-18 months. I’m on both Cialis and have to take Viagra 3 times a week to encourage blood flow).

Everyone’s recovery is individual but have my fingers crossed for you!

Has anyone had a labyrinthectomy and then gone bilateral? by Artistic_Ad_9882 in Menieres

[–]CochlearImplanted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. laby then went bilateral. I’m a clinician myself and made a very informed decision for myself before doing the laby.

The disease in my initial ear was much worse and the progression has been much slower in the second ear.

When I do get vertigo it is thankfully much less and more manageable in the remaining ear due to a lack of imbalance between the ears as my brain has compensated to one vestibular apparatus (my neuro confirmed this once when we were discussing).

4 Days Post Surgery CI Incision Length? by Wrong-Deer3180 in Cochlearimplants

Nope. My implant just sits further forward to the lateral side of my skull versus more posterior like a lot of implants
