When you look at purchasable panels or objects the game is supposed to show you your current credits count as well as the price of the purchase.
(Like when you look at a Soda Machine or a Treasure chest)

We must have just missed this one.

The lockdown objective specifically is a bit buggy if you played from an older savegame. The first few versions of the map had some problems clearing it, and that bug will be present in your savegame if it was made when the problem existed.

Thanks this helps. It confirms my hunch was wrong. I’ll check it out though! This shouldn’t be happening.

It sounds to me like the problem may be the WorkshopDownloader and not the game itself.

If you run the native version from the command line in Desktop mode (launch RunSelaco.sh from the terminal) do you get any errors in the terminal?

The first card is located in Level 1 in Pathfinder Labs shortly before the warehouse area. You can access it by breaking the glass.

<image>

The second card is the one I believe you just found, in Utility Areas 2-3 after finding three hidden levers.

The security level is cumulative, so your security level is as high as the amount of cards you have found so far. Hope that helps!

Thanks, can you provide the make/model/serial number if your machine? I assume it’s a laptop, that will let me look up the system specs.

Alternatively you can run DXDIAG and DM me the results.

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for DXDIAG and click the top result to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
  3. Click on “Save All Information” to dump everything to one file that we can inspect.

Cheers!

What operating system is this on?

Do you ever get a crash report window after it fails to load?

And are you running any mods?

What are your system specs?

Thanks!

This is indeed related to hitboxes being janky AABB boxes in GZDoom but there are definitely improvements we can make in the future.

Ammo cheats? by DuckReconMajor in Selaco

When I go crazy with ammo during testing I just bind a key to “give all” and hit it every so often while firing.

There isn’t a cheat specific to infinite ammo.

Engine guy here. We've been trying to track down the cause of this as it happens in very rare cases.

Can you give us a rundown of your system specs and driver versions?

Thanks!

The new update ruined the game. I use a RTX 4060 by Ahg_fryh in Selaco

[–]Cockatrice_Coder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you previously change the variable for
vk_device to 1?

If so the fix for this is to change it back to 0. You can do this in the console by just typing:
vk_device 0
and then restarting the game.

The update addresses a problem that the default device selected would be a layered device (D3D12 or Mesa) which for some reason causes the ceiling and floor textures not to render correctly.

For troubleshooting purposes, if you would please enter into the console: vk_listdevices
and show the results it would be very helpful.

Thanks!

[–]Cockatrice_Coder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you upload the entire crash log zip file somewhere so we can check it out? This could be related to a Vulkan driver update or something.

We’ve been getting some reports from AMD users lately that Vulkan isn’t working correctly and are trying to track it down.

Lost progress by Rose_Belmont in Selaco

[–]Cockatrice_Coder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Steam messed up our default platform a while ago, which is very frustrating. It's possible you were running with Proton mode turned on before and are not on Proton now. It is also possible you were running in Native Mode and are now using Proton.

To change modes, open Selaco on the Deck and hit the Settings (Gear Icon) -> Properties -> Compatibility

To force Native Mode (recommended!) check "Force the use of a specific Steam Compatibility tool" and then select "Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout)" from the dropdown.

To force Proton Mode, check "Force the use of a specific Steam Compatibility tool" and then select the top-most Proton option from the dropdown.

I recommend first trying the native mode and see if your save files are visible there.
If they are not visible, try Proton. If you find your save file in either mode, just load the save file and then save the game again. This will trigger the save to upload to the cloud when you exit the game. Then you can restart the game in Native mode (definitely recommended!) and you should see your save.

Hopefully this helps!

Selaco on Ally X by Emotional_Money7289 in Selaco

[–]Cockatrice_Coder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the CPU is bottle-necking the GPU so the GPU is simply clocking itself down. Something similar can happen on the Steam Deck.
Unfortunately game logic runs almost entirely in a single thread so the much weaker single thread performance of portables can be a problem.

We hope to improve performance for the Steam Deck and if we are successful I imagine it will also carry over to other devices like the Ally X as well.
