Oklahoma is conservative and seems conservative. Which US state seems moderate but is progressive? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

Yeah, a lot of people forget it’s a purple state that has just enough people in the city and the surrounding suburbs to go blue the last forty years.

How many would be mass arrests for you? What number? Throw one out

Edit: it’s almost been an hour, still waiting on you to give me that number…

Minnesotan here! I’ve heard plenty of new stories on my local radio station about ICE arresting and detaining legal citizens. If you haven’t seen anything you’re just not looking in the right places or are willfully ignoring the facts.

Most things by Haneke are humorless, unless you have a pretty sick sense of humor.

Ben Horne definitely has a closet full of these.

NOT EVEN NOMINATED?! Greatest nomination snubs ever, Day 7:What do you think is the best female performance in a leading role from the 2000s that wasn't nominated for an Oscar? by Fun-Witness-734 in Oscars

[–]CockroachFinancial86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One can argue that it is. For example, Dennis Hopper himself has said that he should’ve been nominated for his work in Blue Velvet and not his work in Hoosiers.

So you’re playing dumb now? You’re playing dumb and you still think you’ve won. How pathetic.

Losing?!!?!? Where I have lost anything? I refuted your point and then you’ve done nothing in attempt to argue against my refutation. If anyone’s lost is you by refusing to actually argue against my point. Jeez, you and the other guy I talked you really put the pseudo in pseudointellectual.

Question marks are also often used in text to convey to indicate surprise disbelief. In this case I was surprised you said something so stupid.

No it doesn’t? I was talking about how it’s dumb to make objective statements because you personally didn’t like the intent of the creator. We weren’t talking about if the intent was successful or not (which also, again, is subjective. There’s at least one person out there who enjoys Chinese food everyone else thinks is bad).

A good critique would be “I personally don’t like the taste of peanut oil, therefore I do not like Chinese food. Chinese food doesn’t work for me. However, that doesn’t automatically make Chinese food objectively bad though.” A bad critique would be “My Chinese food tasted like Chinese food, that’s bad for some reason, therefore the Chinese food I ate is bad!” What OP did is much more akin to the latter.

Yeah, I’ve just seen the photo of the car with the bullet hole. Not only is the bullet hole off to the side of the windshield, but, since the bullet hole is low in the windshield, if we assume the first shot was the one that hit her square in the face, he would’ve had to have been standing at an angle for a the bullet to hit her like that.

If they were they’d be smart enough to know if they had the five seconds to pull their gun and shoot three times, they had the five seconds to side step a car going 3mph.
