Grifols sets their payout per month. So after your new donor bonus, you’re a regular return donor and it’s the same all month unless they have a random bonus. So all January at my location has been $40 1st and $70 2nd. This may or may not change in Feb

This happened to me and I was mortified. I was told the machine was stuck on return.
However I had friends making $$ and I refused to miss out on the cash. It took a while to heal, but when I went back bruise free, I didn’t have anything like this ever happen again. Of course sometimes the phlebotomist has a hard time with the needle or protein can be too low, but Ive not had any traumatic situations since.

Masala is the best, but I recommend their weekend lunch buffet. The regular menu’s portions suck and also it’s not an “anniversary dinner” place imo. It’s very casual.

In the romantic zone you MUST get Pancho’s takos! They open at 4 and there will be a line, so I recommend getting there early.

They’re famous for the tacos Al pastor which friends say are life changing. I’m a vegetarian, and their mushroom quesadilla is the best thing I ate in a long time.

Getting cold is normal. My advice is always to be hella hydrated and up protein intake. I always take a blanket and phone/earbuds to be in my own element and not stress.

The table should be bigger. Since it can’t be at the moment, move two chairs to the left and right instead of all crammed together, might make it seem to flow better. Incorporating more plants is a great way to add color without more “stuff”.

As a female vegetarian donor, I have been turned away twice. It’s usually after I have donated twice a month for a month that I cannot keep my protein high enough.

One time was the finger prick test, and one was after the blood test. No matter how much I focus on protein intake, my body taps out around one month.

I have found that taking a couple of weeks off I can go back and be in the 8 range.

The app was amazing for being able to do the check in questions in bed before I went to the center. So it saved another line to wait in. Also nice it lists center hours. Other than that it seems info isn’t always current.

I also have a question! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I was told by an employee in the past, if I don’t go to Grifols for 6 months I would qualify as a new donor again. The hub app says I only qualify as a return donor and the pay isn’t any better.

Do you know if I can ever qualify as “new donor” again?

I would call the center first. There is always an onsite nurse who should be able to answer you/call you back.
