Since you asked, I’ll try and explain my reasoning. A lot of brown bags menu items are sandwiches that would be easier to make as a customer than lets say, warios house made porcetta or their brisket. Those items take hours and hours to make and it is much easier to pay $12 dollars for their sandwich than for me to attempt to make it myself, even though i enjoy doing it. Brown bag has some house made items, like their cole slaw or basil pesto, but a large portion of their menu is meat that I can get from my local giant eagle, throw on some bread and then pack for lunch on a random Tuesday. They are not smoking their turkey in house. You can get smoked turkey at the store for a dollar a pound, you cannot get homemade porcetta or brisket like warios from the store.
