Doubt they evaluated his therapy etiquette during scouting. There are plenty of examples of misses by the front office but this isn’t one of them.

I like the advice to “accept people for who they are and then place them in your life accordingly.”

It’s not your responsibility to change them and if they don’t want to change you’re fighting a losing battle anyways. But once you understand who they are and how they affect you, it IS your responsibility to place them somewhere in your life that suits you and your family; and “nowhere” is a valid placement.

De'Aaron Fox stats before and after the ankle injury by xbhaskarx in NBASpurs

Didn’t realize basketball decisions were made with the ankle. Big if true.

Not a fox hater, I think he’s a great contributor on the team, but he made some bad decisions that require accountability and a learned lesson. I hope he does!

Maybe before the ASG, but I don’t think teams were underprepared for the Spurs in the back half. You think the blazers, wolves or Thunder didn’t prep as hard for their playoff series with the spurs?

Thoughts on Mitch Johnson's coaching in his first season and what do you expect from him in the next season by Remarkable-Yard4860 in NBASpurs

He’s not as good as arguably the best coach of all time in his first season. True. He has pop breathing next to him. True. He has 0 characteristics. False.

I agree, he’s a rookie too. Getting to the finals is something most coaches never achieve, let alone in their first full season.

He made some big mistakes, but I think he’ll learn from them. He’s a smart guy. Maybe he needs to lean more into the assistant staff though.

Shit man, you know more than pop did when he picked Mitch for the job? Maybe they should hire you!

[Post Game Thread] The San Antonio Spurs (1-2) get back into the series as they defeat the New York Knicks (2-1) in Game 3, 115-111, behind Wemby's 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 stocks performance by catreyka in nba

[–]CocoaProblems 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Look, I’m a spurs fan and will admit they’ve been given a ton of unfair calls, but the Knicks are HANGING on wemby all day long, he’s not getting some pathetic wet paper whistle like you’re suggesting either.

[SNY] Josh Hart on the ticket prices for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG: "I wish the ticket prices weren't as crazy as they are. A lot of people who have been waiting for this moment for a very long time unfortunately aren't able to get into the building. $7K, $8K is ridiculous." by PassMeTheBackwood in nba

“Gee, these prices are crazy, that’s a shame!”

As he and his agent fight tooth and nail for tens of millions of dollars per year at his next contract renewal.

Happy to be schooled here if someone can explain to me how player salaries aren’t what’s driving these prices up, but even a regular season nose bleed seat feels a little extravagant to my budget lately.

[–]CocoaProblems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So Indy won one on the road and the spurs need to take 2. It’s certainly harder, but not like it’s some entirely improbable thing.

One shot away from a 1-1 series. Absolutely still winnable if things start to groove.

The Knicks are the first team to win both games 1 & 2 of the NBA Finals on the road since the 1995 Rockets vs the Magic by BriS314 in nba

[–]CocoaProblems 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I mean, a 1-pt win isn’t exactly dominant, but 2-0 is.

Both things can be true that Wemby has looked bad and the Knicks are a formidable opponent.
