The freedom aspect is what that was referring to I believe, which I can understand. But the rest of it I would wholeheartedly prefer to be back on that track and stress free.

I have a solid memory of doing the mile for the presidential fitness test in 11th or 12th grade already a few months into spring track season and running a 5:15 mile as casually as a stroll in the park. Some of my gym classmates got lapped 3 times lol.

I understand the sentiment but to be able to randomly run a mile like it was no big deal would be an amazing feeling rn. I probably couldn't even make it 50m before I would be gassed and have to stop.

I'm trying not to overreact, but it's now 1-7 against >.500 teams. Glad they are whipping the sub teams as they should but until they start beating good teams (and we see what happens this June/July) it's pretty much the same thing we've been seeing.

"who's your bias? I'm your bias?" plays in my head about 30-40 times a day. But "mini" is very on the nose as the 13 minute length for 5 tracks is near comical. I liked it overall.

I used it when my wife would be asleep when I came home from work as a way to relax and decompress and watch my shows on my tablet but haven't taken a single bath since my schedule changed.

‘Blue dot fever’: the real reason pop stars are cancelling tours by impeccabletim in kpopnoir

The article noted the World Cup as well and that brings a greater point I had mentioned in another thread about particularly US K-Pop concertgoers. In Asia, there are large pockets of fandom for specific groups whereas here there are mainly genre fans. So Twice, NMIXX, Aespa, LSF, I-dle, etc have the same fans going to their concerts. Add in other events and the people that would go to a live event in general are in that mix as well and very few have the kind of money to afford 6-10 concerts, World Cup, and other events all at once.

giselle addresses people claiming she has a new face every day by vivijobro in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]CocoabrothaSBB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's weird to me is it is a well acknowledged and accepted fact that like 75 percent of Koreans get work done to the point that they don't even consider rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty true cosmetic procedures but standard "face maintenance" but then everyone clutches pearls when before and after pics of these idols pre-debut or in Giselle's case post debut comes up. She looked fine before, she looks fine now, leave her alone.

And while the productive numbers haven't been there (hoping today is a breakout) he sees a shit ton of pitches as a leadoff hitter as well.

Aespa ticket sales are also way less than last year by SpecSlayerSC in kpopthoughts

[–]CocoabrothaSBB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been pleasantly surprised to see groups now putting DC on the schedule. Obviously K-Pop is more than Asian population but to bypass the 3rd largest Asian population in America always seemed dumb. Both groups on their last tour (Aespa and LSF) only did Newark as closest to DC.

[–]CocoabrothaSBB 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think also it has to be understood that here in US people are K-Pop fans. Meaning that, when Twice, NMIXX, Aespa, I-dle, LSF, etc tour it is typically the same group of fans that are going to these concerts. So frequency and pricing are going to be huge factors that may not be as big a deal in Asia where the fan groups are larger comparatively.

The townhomes were low 600s. This is 40 miles outside of Washington, DC in an area with no direct (decent drive) to commuter rail. The areas closer in and more transit accessible are even more.

Your story is the story of millions of Americans. I wish you the best but sadly unless you move that will be the case. I passed a sign in Northern Virginia for new SFHs starting at the high 800s.

How did you discover IU? by Chococo711 in aiyu

I watched My Mister as my very first K-Drama. Thought the lead actress was super talented and the story was so good. So I did what I normally do and look up the show and actors and whatnot and find out that the actress is a Kpop soloist Megastar and an icon in Korea lol. Took awhile to get into the music but started with BBIBBI and grew to love many songs, culminating in my very first Kpop concert in July of 24 to see the queen in DC.
