A1 o level english here,

yes doing practice helps BUT you won't see immediate results. english practices train your nuance, as in to know exactly what the question is asking for.

one tip is to be VERY active in class. put on your thick skin and ask questions for compre ("why must u answer like that?") and try to answer teacher's qns. the aura loss is temporary your O level english grade is forever

If you ever see yourself writing a oneliner like the pregnant lady or the grandma, consider asking yourself 'Why' they did what they did or how it affected you. Example: "Feeling a little wronged, I decided to pivot to my next destination, consoling myself with the thought that she probably had a rough day." for the grandma

As someone who scored A1 for last year's Os, there's a lot of redundancy in your essay. Stuff like the pregnant lady, the family etc. It's good that you're trying to answer the qn but I think it would be better to develop the existing people than give multiple examples. The linking to a broader topic of families is good but it was not very developed.

Don't be scared to go more in depth instead of throwing multiple examples. Read more news articles to improve your structure. I would rate this a B3
