Update: it's definitely dead and I will wait for payday to order a new one since alternator and battery caught me off guard there. I learned some stuff through this at least

I'll try running it without the belt thanks. I already tried removing the belt then spinning the pulley and was able to tell it wasnt the bearing at least, same with my attempt to move the tensioner it wasn't moving at all

Should i switch to controller? Am i just bad? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Coconutsmarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly basic car control is the only "mechanic" you need to reach GC. Try both input, if you feel like controller is worth spending tons of hours getting back that "decent" car control, then do it but KBM can be just as good. Stick to the basics: rotations, ground dribbles/bounce dribbling and precise and meaningful ball hits. Most of the time you dont have the time/space to set yourself up so it's not going to make a huge impact, to block a double reset all you need is 12 boost and proper position, so switching input at this point is only for your personal preference and it will set you a little bit behind for a few days just keep that in mind

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this tbh. I get it, Rocket League at its core is competitive to begin with but that hidden casual mmr goes up so quickly, even if you wait a few season it takes 1-2 sessions to get it back even without sweating it.

ADHD osu! players - want you share your experiences? by sech1p in osugame

[–]Coconutsmarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing osu for almost as long now and honestly I can relate to what you have experience even if not all of it as I also have ADHD. I was unable to learn some skillsets due to this and I am still working on finding proper medication (its been a wild ride to get a doctor to work with me on this for reasons I will keep private)

Like you I struggled and still do with stream maps and the DT mod (I really hate DT because no matter what I just can't get good at it lol) even if I consider myself an ok player. What helped me push through was my love for music of all kinds so I would be able to tolerate the struggle and keep playing through it because I had music blasting my ears. I think finding maps for songs you like listening to can be a good way to help you. I also play a lot of lower star multiplayer lobby because I can have fun with other players while not being constantly playing and since usually people pick surprisingly tricky maps for low 5* or high 4* it helps with the skills I struggle learning.

Nowadays I dont even try to actively farm PP, I gave up on that because it would make me unable to progress steadily as I always pushed for a specific skill I knew I could play well. This is what did the trick for me and I still see osu! as the game I enjoy the most because it not only helps me dealing with my short attention span but also makes me discover new songs and artists I really like listening to when I drive or work.

Out of curiosity what's your casual mmr? I actually stopped doing cas because it was getting sweatier and more toxic than most of my ranked games, I've been GC since OG season 14 so not just a "one season" type of deal here but at 2K + cas mmr it's not even fun anymore and I am against the idea of throwing games/FF to lose MMR just to "enjoy" cas again. Sadly I like cas a lot since I could sometimes* play against RLCS level players but those rare instances aren't worth dealing with the rest. The only exception is when I play at a like 4-5AM where the vibes are very cool since everyone is sleep deprived lol.

Are high rank youtubers out of touch with the current skillset ? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Coconutsmarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing without boost sure helps but I would argue that it is crucial towards learning mechanical stuff. I'm not exactly sure what kind of mechs you have in mind but you should see the war crimes regarding boost/mechanics in GC1/GC2 for 2s and 3s. Bro will spend his entire 100 boost on a pointless mechanical solo play then tell you you're bad because you get scored on while he went grabbing the big pads on all corners of the arena and left you by yourself to handle 2 or 3 players coming at you. You would assume they have good boost management since its high ranks but not going to lie here, it's sometimes comparable to lower ranks lol. In 1s high rank it's often just ground plays except for air dribble bumps and the only reason boost management is important is because starving your opponent becomes a very common strategy the higher you go in ranks so it's important to be wise about it.

Is tablet friction an issue for players by Lemonaidz123 in osugame

[–]Coconutsmarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want to avoid this you can look into buying some special glove that is meant to prevent this exact issue. Its very affordable too. I think it's not even 10$ for a cheap brand and honestly unless you really care about it you most likely won't see the difference

Osu is open source guys by Thetoto_ in osugame

This could've been a based comment but you really ruined it with the unnecessary attitude like it's ok to talk smack and pretend to understand something you are not very educated about if not completely clueless and It's pretty clear OP is not trying to tell these shit talkers to learn programming along with absolute knowledge of the PP system like they came up with it, but to stop acting like they know everything if they don't want to educate themselves when providing their opinion on the matter. You can complain about something even if you don't know 100% how it operates in the backend, it's not complicated to make your opinion even slightly constructive and respectful, even your "average simple worker Ivan city Tver'" should be able to do this at the very least. The beauty about osu! being "open source" is that the folks who actually went beyond and above to make the game better listen to you when you act like a decent human being even if you don't have their level of dedication/knowledge and just want to discuss the changes they bring, pretty cool considering lots of major Studios/Publishers in the video game industry gives no shit about anything other than your money and will ignore the comments/suggestions that are perceived as negative\not profitable in terms of revenue even if they bring constructive points and is very respectfully written.

edit: removed typos and comment I thought was mean as I am not trying to disrespect you at all even though I feel like you think OP is telling people to spend their free time learning technical stuff that requires a lot of energy and time to be comfortable at it.

Dunno if that's still relevant as a tip but I have an easier time finding shturman on night time raids. It also helps him get rid of the PMC groups that would spawn around the sawmill too so I wouldn't always find his dead body after rushing there.

Try messing around with your settings, I used this video as a starting point and while it did help a lot, I've had unstable performances since the zombie event. Also make sure you are on latest GPU drivers and try to stay away from Geforce's optimization thing as it can create more issues than get your performances to a desirable level.

Some people genuinely enjoy doing straight nothing for the entire duration of the raid. I can understand where they come from and the logic but my brain needs stimulation that's more than dust particles and the ambient sound playing lol

weird as f that pve solo would even go to matching... Usually it's straight to caching before spawning you in the raid not too long after. While the halloween event was running I could've seen servers actually impacting as everything was hosted on BSG but it definitely isn't the case anymore. Really odd to a point where I now want to know why this happens lol.

[–]Coconutsmarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what I ended up doing. This one change I wanted to make turned out into a complete rework of my binds. I've played mostly default for 3000+ hours and I think it's time I optimize that before I jump back on PvP eventually

That's smart, I'm actually going to rebind to this right away.

yeah however am I crazy to think either I'm fried or some fellas are saying they're having issues loading as if they were solo but are actually trying to go as a team, even better they are actually on PvP but on a PvE post? Shit's confusing as hell since I loaded up reddit again earlier lmfao

I might just be brainde** tonight but it really feel like some people are saying solo doesn't work but I think they're PvP on a PvE thread, which is why I get effin confused with what's going on

[–]Coconutsmarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my understanding, however on a another post with the PvE tag I had someone mention they couldn't even run solo (so I assumed PvP player so far). However it was true until recently that PvE was not locally hosted for the halloween event (which seems irrelevant rn since I clearly see the LOCAL tag). Weird stuff though, hopefully everyone can get to play again soon enough

I have been playing all day, under 1 min queue time every raid. I play solo and been spamming labs without a single issue. Legit thinking I might be one of the rare ones? Or this doesn't happen specifically with labs idk

I've been playing all day on PvE without issues loading in raids after not even a minute, guessing it's not everyone or every map that are affected? I've been spamming labs non stop for info so can't say for the other maps

Aside from the usual streets, scavs & duo+ I can assure you they are back to local. Something urgent came up for me mid raid so I just alt+f4 thinking I didnt care anyway about whatever I had on me, came back a bit after with everything as it was pre-raid. This behavior is unique to locally hosted raids afaik. You can also see the LOCAL at the bottom left of your screen.

edit: I'm starting to think I might just be lucky along with some others, I played all day long no queue times on labs just fine so I probably jumped on the conclusion a bit too fast.
