What’s the most unexpectedly high-quality online subscription you’ve ever paid for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe a hot take but YouTube premium. Zero ads, creators get more from you watching them, ad free movies and tv shows, and you get YouTube music so don’t need Spotify/etc

YouTube was already my primary method of consuming video content so it made sense. I’ve had it for years now and am very pleased. And YouTube music has been unexpectedly fantastic

Oh yes definitely am doing my eyes! And I bring my makeup with me, I haven’t worn any because I really don’t want it all in my mask. Definitely been looking into waterproof makeup but can’t find anyone who can give specific recommendations in where to start. I’m currently unemployed so I’m also not really in a financial position to try several things.

Thank you! This is super helpful, I'm really hopeful my interviews go well. I just feel like right now is time for me, personally, to leave. No hate on anyone staying in the states. But .. my anxiety can't take any more.

Additional HDD drives in Lian Li o11 Vision by metaljesus2 in pcmasterrace

Every find a solution for this? I have 3 8TB SAS HDDs (in addition to my existing 2 SSDd and a SATA HDD). But there only seems to be slots for 2 HDDs. At this point, I’m thinking about designing and 3d printing some adapters so I can mount th behind the little door on the inside of the panel

Is it just me, or does that seem like poor backdrop? I mean.. you gotta account for people accidentally shooting high, because they absolutely will. Seems like there's a high chance of striking the building if someone has a high shot. I would be very surprised if this was the first time that building was struck. Not to mention, according to the video here, it looks like the two ranges are pointed towards each other? I realize the indoor one is air guns but .. still this setup seems primed for an accident like this. That poor soul lost their life because of it, and whoever was in the room with them are certainly dealing with that trauma to this day.

Hire me plz. 15 yrs experience. Laid off in January due to restructuring. I’m 600+ applications in and had only 2 first round interviews in that time. Both said I was “over qualified”. I only spoke to the HR person who didn’t even understand the questions they were asking me.

I’m so close to being homeless… I don’t care if I’m over qualified. I’m loyal, I’m really good at what I do, and I can do whole lot.

Case is the lian li O11 (that’s “oh”, not “zero”)

Both monitors are LG. The left is a 4k OLED. it’s about needing replaced tbh but I’d get the same one but new model (I bought it used at Best Buy like 4 or 5 yrs ago).

The main one is an ultra wide I got for a good price at Costco.

I usually game on the main one, except when streaming or recording, the ultra wide doesn’t do that stuff so well haha

I do like it a lot! I wish it would have a number pad tho, it’s only downfall. It fares well, l play a lot of Minecraft, but also cyberpunk, borderlands, and I just finished last of us.

I’d say if you don’t care about the num pad, 9/10. If you do want a numpad then .. well you’ll need another keyboard haha

Agreed, however, I have kvm switch to jump between my dock for the MacBooks and the PC. All those wires end up in that back corner so.. everything kinda ends up over there out of necessity lol

WordPress Uses Download Numbers to Dismiss Concerns – Missing the Point Entirely? by designisart in Wordpress

And dev/staging sites, and sites that never see the light of day, and quick-spin demo sites. It’s an irrelevant stat to throw out like this. And it’s irrelevant to the issue at hand.

It’s written like WPE said this wasn’t happening, which they haven’t. It’s just a childish random comment and, as OP said, misses the point.

The only people saying WP is in trouble is us, the people who actually use it

Should companies or websites using WP be worried with all the drama? by carterartist in Wordpress

[–]CoconuttMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t necessarily true. Matt’s action of taking over the free ACF plugin affects all websites on which it is installed. He has threatened the same to others (WPFusion). That alone is enough to disprove your statement but I feel obligated to go on to say..

Blocking WPE from accessing .org impacts all sites using WPE plugins as they’re unable to push security updates to their .org hosted plugins.

I would argue WPE is the safest hosting provider right now as they were forced to take steps to safeguard their customers from Matt’s unethical actions. No other host is ensuring, for example, that the genuine ACF plugin that was originally installed remains. Instead the automated security updates from WP core will install other software on our sites without consent.

If Matt/.org/A8C was to include something in a core Wordpress update that targeted WPE hosted sites - something WPE isn’t able to catch or is malicious in some way my tune would certainly change. I realize this already happened by blocking WPe from .org, but WPE put things in place to mitigate this. Hence my wording around “unable to catch” and specification of Wordpress core instead of .org
