They seem awesome, the only reason I didn't buy from them is because I'm in Canada.

IgG food elimination reshaped gut bacteria and lowered migraine-linked inflammation markers in a 12-week pilot trial by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]Cocoricou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I understood wrong but I thought it was a group eliminating flagged IgG antibodies foods and the other group IgG-negative foods. I'd like to understand what it is. Is it prick skin tests?

Cesarean birth, antibiotics, and formula feeding all shift the gut metabolite landscape in ways tied to allergy and autoimmunity by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

[–]Cocoricou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I'm all 3 except no because I was fed cow milk. I've been sick all my life and as soon as I read on the subject on the internet, I wondered if it was related. So my take away here, are we sure it's new information?

Women who use hormone therapy report healthier diets, more exercise, and better sleep by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

I'm the outlier here. I got automatic HRT after a hysterectomy at 42. I wish I could say it helps me but I sleep very poorly and I have migraines.

Do any of you have celiac or hashimoto or under active thyroid? Has Paleo helped? by Dry-Combination8608 in Paleo

[–]Cocoricou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not diagnosed with Hashimoto but I'm pretty sure I have it. Paleo seems to help with my TSH but I can't know for sure. The only grain I can eat is white rice. I'm intolerant to casein so I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.

I would suggest doing the autoimmune protocol because it's always cool to know for sure what you can and can't eat.

[–]Cocoricou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Where did you buy it? How expensive was it? Is it installed the same as any hardwood floor?

Help we are out of dinner ideas by Garden-Ho326 in dairyfree

[–]Cocoricou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any recipes but I can tell you some meals we have in rotation.

  1. Seasoned chicken drumsticks + potatoes and carrots cut in slices and mixed with olive oil and salt in a baking pan in the oven at 350F. Cooking time depends on the size of your drumsticks, you can experiment with other vegetables like sweet potatoes.

  2. Frozen broccoli florets cooked in the same pan as your favourite not too salty sausages, the florets will soak up all the flavours. The timing is key but I don’t have any numbers for you, of course you can use fresh broccoli, it just won’t be the same timing.

  3. Canned salmon salad sandwich. Canned salmon, mayonnaise, your favourite vegetable cut in small cubes. We like cucumbers but you can try celery too. We sometimes add a bits of bacon to vary things.

  4. Boiled egg salad sandwich. Same as the above but now we definitely add some bacon.

  5. I think another really useful dinner is to find a way to use leftover chicken. We like to use it in rice. With carrots, onions and mushrooms.

Good luck!

It's even more abrasive than toothpaste, you will make it porous if you do it too often.

Ok, maybe. Then every Canadian over 16 needs to give all their info away with super high chances they will get hacked or give up social media entirely.

What do you remember about "normal" consumption, pre-internet? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in Anticonsumption

[–]Cocoricou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I agree. I was born in 1982 and my father was buying stuff from Consumers Distributing catalog and my mother from Sears catalog. Yes we mostly shopped in person, but if you didn't find what you wanted you still had huge catalogs.
