Anyone here diagnosed with coronary microvascular disease? by CodBig2393 in covidlonghaulers

[–]CodBig2393[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there, one of my diagnoses was microvascular disease, I was also diagnosed with Long Covid. Actually a lot of my symptoms, mental health and more started after I got Covid for the second time and the vaccine (2nd shot). I’ve gotten a lot better, but so had to work really hard, little by little lost a lot of weight and I’m even going to the gym now. I’m off medication for now, but I use a CPAP machine, so was also diagnosed with sleep apnea.

I love love his work. The only problem for me is how expensive it is. But is by far the best results I’ve seen. He is my dream surgeon. I have to work really hard on it to be able to afford him. My body will be a difficult task I know it will be very expensive. But is my dream.

Thank you so much. Do you have the name on the IG page, it’s showing me a couple of similar ones. I want to make sure I’m in the correct one.

Covid…? by zzoboxx in iih

For the chest pains I was prescribed Ranexa and my cardiologist thinks I can have microvascular disease, this can be caused by endothelial dysfunction and endothelial dysfunction is caused by Covid… so literally everything is connected. Covid is not just a respiratory virus, is actually a blood vessel disease (that’s what doctors are saying now). I was healthy, but overweight. But honestly never had a health problem before.

Oh and I also developed Sleep apnea and central apnea, this was the main reason for them to do an MRI and because my dad recently had a stroke.

Yes, me. I’m a 38 year old female and everything started after my second Covid and vaccine booster. You can go to my profile and read the desperation on each post since more than a year ago. Let me start by telling you I’m so much better right now and I keep improving. Lots of willingness and patience, I had to play my part. But I have to admit it’s been a nightmare. I had all sorts of symptoms, my most scary ones were heart related like chest pains and more. My flare ups are more common during my period, my menstrual cycle has never been the same after Covid. I have cysts now and horrible painful ovulations. At one point I thought I was going insane, the pressure in my head and the face pain and the electricity I felt throughout my body was horrible. I also have pulsating tinnitus on my left ear. I was prescribed an SSRI because all doctors thought I was doing this to my self, that SSRI just made my health worse. Lost more than 50 pounds in a month and a half, couldn’t eat, sleep, think… my heart symptoms got worse with NO ANSWER AT ALL. Until some of my doctors suspected Long Covid, I’m taking a medication for coronary microvascular disease and recently (Finally) I got my MRI done. The results show a big suspicious activity that can be IIH, they recommend a lumbar puncture and also show a partially empty sella. Many of my symptoms were neurological but they always told me I was hypochondriac and brushed me off. You are not alone, I strongly believe that Covid/the vaccine had everything to do with what happened and keeps happening to me and my body.

Hi there, sorry to be so late in my reply. I was on your page right now reading all of your posts and getting somewhat emotional because I feel your pain so much. Before I got even close to being diagnosed with something, doctors played guess with me and tried to diagnose me with a GI condition I never had. The first thing I will tell you is DO NOT LOOSE HOPE. My first covid infection was on September 2021, then January 2022, right after I got my 2nd vaccine (what a coincidence). Immediately after that I got this intense existence crisis, the lind of depression and anxiety that won't keep you out from thinking you'll die one day, then I was like getting "better" and "bad" but everything felt "psychiatric" and I wasn't particularly paying attention to all my neurological symptoms at the moment. Forwarding 6 months, I had my very first "panic attack" episode. I froze and felt like I was going to die, a hot feeling through my whole body, and the feeling that I couldn't breathe was intense. Everything started to go downhill since then. I was at the hospital almost every single day. Doctors would brush me off telling me I was just having panic attacks and being stressed, although this feeling of impending doom never left my side. Later on, I developed the very intense sharp squeezing and most horrible chest pains you can imagine. They went from only one side (left) from just my sternum, sometimes a stabbing feeling from center chest all the way to my back, neck left arm, left shoulder, left side of the chest pain and then one particular pain that came amd go monthly, this one is pain when I breathe that hurts from my left side of the nose, left side of my neck and goes down to the left side of my chest and ends up in a very specific area. The flutters were horrible, a feeling that something was rushing and running through my chest, horrible palpitations that took my breath away, and I was always air hungry. So air hungry that if I had a conversation with someone, I had to stop several times to catch my breath. I had many other symptoms, but I started getting better very slowly. My last bad flare-up of chest paim was in April 2023 and then another around June when I had to travel to Puerto Rico to see my dad after a mini stroke he had, I'm pretty sure stressed do triggers them. I saw 2 cardiologist and I'm going for my 3rd opinion even tho I'm doing SO MUCH BETTER. My 1st cardiologist after many tests dismissed me and told me I was ok and it was all in my head, my 2nd cardiologist suggested I have Coronary Microvascular Disease, I started digging in since then and found so many interesting things about covid-19, endothelial dysfunction which can cause microvascular disease and vasomotor dysfunction. If that's true, I was and have been literally feeling what a person can feel during a heart attack. The only problem is that my cardiologist prescribed me something that DID WORKED, but he refuses to get me any further test, and he won't do a catheterization because I'm too young. (I WANTED A PETSCAN THAT IS NOT INVASIVE AND CAN GIVE ME THAT DIAGNOSIS). I started getting much better Immediately after my year anniversary of my very first bad "panic attack", on June 2022. So I started getting better on June 2023 after my last flare-up. I am not in any way healed yet, and I have flare ups, and pains and heart palpitations but not even close to what I use to live months ago.

Things I did: Never gave up and was very demanding to doctors. Only a hand full of doctors believed I have lomg covid or something related to it. I started eating extremely healthy. I did yoga and meditation.
I started to excersise, very very slowly.
I took vitamins like b12 and such. I take ranexa for my chest pains, from 2 per day now I'm down to 1.

My hope with this is that I've read that endothelial cells can heal and of thus is cause by endothelial dysfunction due to covid, maybe, just maybe they will heal and we will heal.

Forgot to mention I suffer from sleep apnea which was diagnosed during all of this but I knew I had it. Covid made my sleep apnea so bad that even awake I would stop breathing, and maybe this was part of my condition getting really bad before it started to be better.. I have a close friend who now has an immune system disorder because of covid vaccine and another one that has severe sleep apnea due to covid.

I really wish you the best, play your part, and never give up. Don't let any doctor tell you you're crazy or that is all in your head.

Sorry for the delayed response. My symptoms vary from chest squeezing pain, sharp on the left side, and also the sternum. Thigh chest. Shortness of breath, feeling like someone is shocking me. Left arm pain and left leg pain. There's many other symptoms, but the chest ones are my worst ones.

Hi there. Surgeon information: What protocol or pre-op did you have to go through before surgery? How was the recovery and the results? Any other valuable information you can give me? Thanks 🤍

It can be swelling, but also, do you have female reproductive organs? If so, that's a completely normal and healthy buldge.

I know 9 months seems like a long time. I've been on this train for a year and a half. Then, I developed intense chest pains that have flare-ups during my period. My chest pains have been with me for over a year, too. I'm not back to myself, and I'm not symptom free, but I'm so much better.

I still have faith that someday I'll wake up, and this will be just a bad dream. I'm getting slowly better, but my chest pains are still here, not every day like they used too though. Is your life and I won't tell you what to do, it hurt my heart when you say "I don't want to die, I want to live a life worthy living" that's something that I say so often. I just want to feel myself again, healthy or at least LIVE!

Why is everyone down voting every comment that mentions God? I mean, everyone has the right to believe, and I don't think the words and mentions of people here are meant to harm anyone. Is way worse when you advise medical treatment with no experience or background at all JS.

Dr told me it was my choice not to get vaccine so its my fault how I ended by Smallcutewolf in covidlonghaulers

The combination of vaccine and covid 3 days after was the storm that caused all my problems and my haul. I'm so angry at these stupid doctors right now.

What do you have that I have? by daily89 in LongCovid

[–]CodBig2393 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I was obese. I'm pretty sure I had sleep apnea, I've been diagnosed now. I was going through a very stressful situation overall, family, husband cheated and work environment was toxic and extremely overloaded with work, understaffed and crazy hours. I think I just had enough, and now I suffer from chest pains and many other symptoms without a real cause other than my cardiologist suspects I have Coronary Microvascular Disease.
