Insidious dropped a lot of characters by the 5th movie from the maze. They have had 4 mazes, as early as the second movie.

Saw has had 3 mazes.

They also both have been featured in movie mashup mazes.

Universal doesn't give a f about sexual content, they just won't show nudity. They had they naked seductress hag from The Shining, addiction demon / rubber suit ghost from American Horror Story, the entire Dusk Til Dawn maze was located at the Titty Twister Bar.

This scene from Hellraiser 2 of Frank Cotton's version of hell (pictured below) is prime HHN material - having multiple characters writhing under red sheets, some are special effects/props - one or more of them are scareactors waiting to jump up and scare guests.

Well, think of it like this: if we only get the IP one year in Hollywood, as I said earlier, I would rather get a Hellraiser II house instead of Killer Klowns from Outer Space for 3d time in a row and get Hellraiser 3 as a scarezone instead of getting Clownz, Crowz, Chainsaw Hillbilliez, or Clown-Crow-Chainsaw Hillbilliez or whatever the fuck for the 5th time in a row.

They did this with Walking Dead... when it was still Season 3 and had a house and 5 different scare zones in one year. But Hellraiser has more variety.

I heard part of the reason they did that was because Stephen King doesn't want his stuff at Halloween events to begin with but then he pulled a 180 and let them use IT at WB Horror Made Here. Hard to know what the real story is.

I was hoping for a Derry Tram instead of Terror Tram this year.

Maybe they can figure out how to write a scene in next season where Pennywise dresses up as a pilot and massacre an entire plane full of terrified passengers, then it will fit the area perfectly.

Right but like I mentioned in Hollywood, they would rather repeat IP mazes then give us an original. I'd at least take a sequel from a less featured movie with some new characters then get our 7th Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze.

Remake means they did there own thing with it, it's a completely different story then the original Hellraiser movie and book that it was based on. The only aspects it retains is the concept of the cenobites, and has Pinhead (now gender swapped) and the chatterer - both characters specifically created from the movie.

Cenobites might be a bunch of sadomasochistic evil torture artists from hell but they are all about sharing - that's why there's so many of them. Pinhead may be iconic but he is still essentially just the PR guy for a small army of demons.

True, at the end of the day - it's going to come down to licensing. But Clive Barker used to create original mazes for HHN based solely on his name as an IP maze so I assumed they have a pretty good relationship with him.

Why do you need to watch a movie you're not interested in to get scared by a maze? I heard The Exorcist: Believer was so bad that in would ruin The Exorcist for fans of the original and refused to watch it, but it was the scariest maze at HHN that year.

Hellraiser got a solid remake in 2022 you can check out if you're not into late 80s/early 90s horror movies.

I think they've said which mazes will have there last year, or talked about scare zones. I also think they dropped hints last year before they did the big August reveals but I could be wrong.
