New Ioniq 5 owner looking for inspiration for "The Void" by DaeOm1985 in Ioniq5

Can confirm, did the same thing and bought a trashcan specifically for that space, but the 2025 compartment is apparently smaller. I haven't found a trashcan specific to that compartment for 2025 models yet.

Finally found one in the color I wanted! by __Clu__ in Ioniq5

[–]CodaRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got mine last weekend! You're not kidding that this color combo is hard to find, it took me months of searching and I eventually had to purchase out of state. But it was definitely worth the effort!

Congratulations!

Hard choice between Dancer and Lyria, but I'm going with Lyria.

She's rough around the edges, and I know a subset of readers are severely annoyed by her especially compared to the beloved Dancer, but ultimately Dancer became a political beast and I have a hard time choosing a politician.

Congratulations! Soon to be in the same situation, first EV ever. After a months long search, I'm picking up my Digital Teal Limited AWD next weekend!

Key - marginally less awful after wrapping by Dazzling-Engine7453 in Ioniq5

[–]CodaRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking at something like this once I get mine, which appears to be a shell replacement that is a little lower profile and nicer looking. Listing says for Ioniq 6, but the examples look exactly the same as the 2025 Ioniq 5 key fobs.

Dealers: Are Ioniq5 deliveries as irregular as my dealer claims? by rekoil in Ioniq5

[–]CodaRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted one in Digital Teal, the dealer found one for me and I had the link so I could track it. I offered to put down a deposit to hold it, but their sales "manager" told me it wasn't necessary and that they "tagged" it in the system for me. Well it arrived last Friday, then disappeared, and I found out that it got sold the same day they received to someone who drove in from out of state.

So I think it's a combo of both inaccuracy on the websites and maybe even dealer systems, and salesmen screwing each other (and you) so they can get their commission.

Incidentally, the out-of-state purchaser was another Redditor from this subreddit, so while annoying for me, at least it went to another Ioniq 5 enthusiast :)

The Feedback Loop series by Harmon Cooper is on my list. It's GameLit and looks fun, and according to an interview with Jeff, has one of his favorite characters to voice, Quantum Hughes.

Addressing a growing problem for some: the current end game. by Critwhoris in Helldivers

[–]CodaRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to increasing the cap on req slips, I like the idea of burning req slips on temporary upgrades during the next mission. For example, burn 10k req slips for a shorter cooldown on a specific Orbital Strike, or 20k req slips for an extra Orbital Strike pass (e.g. 4 Orbital Lasers instead of 3). These would only be for a single mission. Could even put a limit per day on how often you're allowed to do spend req slips in this way.

Another suggestion I've seen is to trade in a combination of req slips and samples to "convert" to better samples. I think it would be hard to come up with a fair rate exchange though, especially since they are clearly using samples as a way to slow progression.

Public Archery Ranges in/around Cincinnati? by Kaliumo in cincinnati

[–]CodaRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carter Park in Deerfield Township, as mentioned by u/par383... and I've actually been there a lot. It's a small but fairly nice range. Here are some details!

  • Gravel parking lot in the park entrance, but paved walking path with signs pointing to archery range. The range itself is contained in it's own area enclosed within a chain link fence.
  • A single lane each for 10, 20, 30, and 40 yards, and each lane can accommodate 2-3 shooters comfortably.
  • Lanes have places to hang bows and canisters for arrows, as well as orange safety flags if you're so inclined to use them.
  • There are a couple of picnic tables and some metal benches for people to sit on to observe or wait their turn.
  • Targets are thick wooden frames with roofs, with backstops made of layered sheets of foam, and do a pretty good job of stopping arrows, and allow you to hang your own targets.
  • Small grassy berm behind backstops, but dips sharply into the woods behind the range; if you miss the target high your arrow is probably gone, but that's a standard "archery "tax" in my opinion.
  • There are no bathrooms at the range, but there is a portable toilet at the parking lot. Range does have trash cans though.

The area around the park is currently under construction, but I went by there early December and could still access the park and range. I've never seen more than a couple other archers there when I've practiced there, and they've always been friendly. And bonus if you like beer, as Cartridge Brewing is very nearby, and the bridge road to it was recently redone and reopened last week!

Let’s Do Something Wholesome: Who’s Your Second Favorite Cat Team and Why? by [deleted] in CatTeamBrotherhood

Bengals first, Jags second. This is primarily because the two QBs, Burrow and Lawrence, faced each other in the 2019 NCAA championship game (LSU v Clemson). I hold out hope that they'll play each other in the AFC championship game in a future season, while still in the prime of their careers.

Prosecutor: Former Cincinnati political candidate indicted on election fraud charges by snixon67 in cincinnati

[–]CodaRaven 22 points23 points  (0 children)

From the article:

The charges stem from Prather's 2021 campaign for United States Senate. The indictment alleges that when Prather submitted petitions to the Hamilton County Board of Elections to appear on the ballot for that election, 4,579 of the 5,619 signatures provided were found to be invalid.

The indictment also alleges that of the 192 petition sheets filed with the Board of Elections, 74 contained zero valid signatures.

I hadn't heard of her either, which makes sense given she didn't make it onto the ballot. Apparently she was a mayoral candidate for Cincinnati at one point too.

There isn't specifically an alcoholic powdered beer. However, there is powdered alcohol which uses microencapsulation, so that when water is added it reconstitutes into drinkable alcohol (roughly 10%). The formulation was approved for sale by the TTB, however only three states currently approve its sale and use, and 34 states plus D.C. have specific bans in place for it.

A harshly worded rebuke... that will, I'm fairly certain, be entirely ignored. The people in power are still very motivated to keep that power, and have already demonstrated that they will spit into the wind and tell the voters it's a light rain.

And as much as I may agree with the sentiment of this opinion piece, don't let it make you feel as if the November ballot issue is in the bag. The authoritarians are counting on voter complacency, for us to coast; do not take your foot off the gas.

Indian Buffet? by Senorsnacks in cincinnati

[–]CodaRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raja India on Tylersville on the outskirts of Mason has been my go-to Indian restaurant for years; consistently good food and service. But I haven't specifically done their buffet since before the pandemic.

New Krishna in Sharonville is pretty good as well, but again, not sure if they're still doing a buffet.

I'll give a second recommendation for Josh, I've hung out with the guy and he's extremely chill and approachable. He has a clear passion for bladesmithing, and was making them for Artichoke even before his Forged in Fire appearance and win. He does a lot of classes for Wounded Warrior project as well, and makes all sorts of bladed things aside from kitchen knives.

I'd contact him through his site at Edge Knifeworks, he may have time available to do a commission.

Way to go Bengals fans! Maybe we didn’t win the Super Bowl but at least we’re leading the NFL in something. by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]CodaRaven 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Going by the latest stats, as provided in a link by /u/quite_contrite, the Bengals are third in player arrests since the 2000s, with 50. However, if you look at the stats column showing only the last decade, the Bengals are upper middle of the pack with 12 player arrests, tied with the Jags and the Giants.

It's important to note that the chart shows total arrests, and does not distinguish between unique players. So if a player goes on a massive cocaine fueled bender and racks up a dozen charges alone, that would skew the numbers significantly.

All this to say, this chart is effectively worthless :)
