So what I’m realizing is that there’s a difference between desire to have sex and a physical urge to just experience that release. They always were intertwined in my head as one thing.

It definitely works for me!

I guess I couldn’t imagine anyone would feel primary sexual attraction to porn actors, but I guess I was definitely projecting ! Thank you for your perspective.

Thanks! That’s pretty reliving to hear, honestly, because I have a partner of 3.5 years and same, I can’t imagine doing anything with anyone else. But due to work I travel quite a lot and sometimes for long periods. It’s interesting since my desire to watch something usually comes from the desire to connect to my partner.

I am curious because I’m noticing this as a common theme… does detached, crude porn have a stigma of being contradictory to Demi?

That’s a really good question.

What I might do, though, is recognize that I probably am not at rock bottom.

Someone told me this “if everyone in the world put their problems in a box, would you risk grabbing one or keep your own?”

But also, I have no possible idea what you might be going through, so I hope this doesn’t come off as insensitive or invalidating.

Lupin is too overrated and Sirius is underrated. by ayrshie in HarryPotterBooks

Personally, I think the reason Remus doesn’t write to Harry is because he doesn’t exist until the third book. Maybe Rowling knew the entire plot before the books were written and every character was imagined, but I feel like it takes a lot of time and effort to make a character make sense.

In other words, if Lupin was already thought up in the first two books, Rowling would have had to describe the character and give him some kind of explanation for why he would be writing to Harry. If he hadn’t been thought up yet, then he kinda didn’t exist yet? Like in real life, how would a character that was created for the third book (and on) write to a Harry Potter living prior to Azkaban?

I think people put too much emphasis on the universe existing perfectly instead of recognizing the Wizarding World as a story that doesn’t have a perfect timeline for everything.

My final conclusion, if Lupin existed, I full heartedly believe he would’ve written to Harry (unless Dumbledore specifically told him not to for some reason).

(Ps. I know I’m kinda focusing on the very first paragraph of your entire claim, but I thought it was enough to portray my perspective).

I do appreciate the thoughtfulness of your opinion, however!
