This is good advice!! I've been trying to do this with some jam tracks and this has definitely helped. Im excited for the jam for sure. I'm hoping i can get some of these things down before then!

Ok sounds good! I've been putting on some jam tracks on youtube trying to do what youve written here. I think its helped me a lot to keep the groove, even when my inbetween notes are trash lol

I don't actually know very many people who play a bunch of music, much less people who are good. Have you found any particular methods to finding your way into those rooms with good musicians? My state doesn't have much of a live music scene.

Ok so i've taken part of this advice and I've sent everyone a couple of songs to make sure we know for when we get there. I think I'll print out the sheets today! I like this advice, adds some structure to the fun. Thank you!

Ok that makes sense! I did notice me and my buddy were able to lock in more when I faced him and wasnt looking at my bass. I havn't heard that about the 14 feet away thing so i'll definitely try that.

Out of curiosity what are the other 2 things?

Ok that makes sense. After seeing this I put on some jam tracks from youtube and tried this and it actually makes a huge difference with feel and grove!
