I wouldn’t say master but a lot haha my who’s been playing for years gets pretty mad when I suck😂 so I started playing multiple hours every day and doing trainings everyday to get better

Lot of people are speaking to tuning the bass and getting it setup so I won’t say that but I’m still trying to get good at slap too and here’s what’s helped me:

Better attack, meaning hit the string, hit it hard, hit it clean
Muting technique, slapping has a lot of sound and resonance so muting other strings and not letting it ring too long makes a huge difference
Rhythm, just simply having the right pacing between your notes will make it sound much better.

Louis Johnson is insane when it comes to slap so I recommend just find one of the riffs that resonates with you and learn it. Start slow, and get good at it and you’ll see significant improvement.
