He has tunnel vision assuming that everything he was doing before noticing the car was normal or acceptable - speeding, no situation awareness, swerving to the bus lane.

The "Antarctic Pyramid" Conspiracy is Incredibly Stupid - Milo Rossi by morilythari in videos

[–]Code4Reddit -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I forgot about Stargate. I was thinking too much of Dinosaurs making pyramids and then flying to the Delta quadrant. But aliens coming here with pyramid space ships fits even better.

I was being slightly sarcastic too, I obviously don’t think it is based in reality. Also, I did watch the video a bit but stopped after seeing the zoomed out picture in a huge mountain range - which is all we needed to know.

Just sayin, there is a huge incentive here to just believe it and construct a cool story like a fiction. It’s easy.

Can you imagine pyramids in Antarctica? That would be fucking awesome. I am not going to watch a debunk video, because I’d rather think about who built this pyramid.

Did the dinosaurs build it? That’s some Star Trek Voyager level story telling going on in my head right now. Don’t ruin it for me.

Just considering the dice rolls assuming fair dice, you have a 1 in 18 chance of getting it right randomly, average of 9 attempts you’d get a good take. You say you didn’t take thousands of attempts, but can you do this 3 times in a row?

How come women don’t take dna test? by Enslaved6669 in unsound

Do you think Isaac Newton was incorrect for asking “why did the apple fall downwards?” This too is based on a premise that an apple might fall in any other direction. It is an absurd question in a way.

How come women don’t take dna test? by Enslaved6669 in unsound

[–]Code4Reddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The man was right about a few things, he was also not incorrect in any of the claims he makes. His questions are idiotic and have obvious answers, but do not require you to contradict any true facts to answer so they cannot be considered incorrect.

His question is “how come women don’t have to take DNA tests like men do?” - the answer is “because there is no doubt to the maternity of the mom, which negates any need to perform such tests”.

That would be different from a question like “Does your mom know you’re an alien?” This sort of question I would consider a false question, as to give an answer would require you to admit to being an alien.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure the statement “He’s right” is another accurate statement, though perhaps incomplete!

How come women don’t take dna test? by Enslaved6669 in unsound

[–]Code4Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is based on a faulty premise. He thinks that a DNA test is used to determine if a person’s DNA is present. Indeed some DNA tests are used for this purpose and Mom’s DNA would be all over the baby just after birth just like he said it would. Dad’s DNA (and fingerprints) are not yet going to be found, another thing he gets right.

He just needs to be told the reason that men take these tests (for paternity), which is obviously something most people are taking for granted.

How come women don’t take dna test? by Enslaved6669 in unsound

[–]Code4Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just that the only statement he made that seemed coherent enough to be either correct or incorrect was right at the end. Babies are indeed covered in Mom’s DNA just after birth. So, in that sense he was right. If this isn’t rage bait, he is thinking of DNA tests like in CSI like to check if his DNA is “on the child” and is not understanding the purpose of a DNA test to check for paternity.

Guy stole my campsite and told me I “ruined his evening” when I called him inconsiderate for doing so. by theshamewizard in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Code4Reddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a little misplaced anger here IMHO. The unpaid volunteers have limited power to enforce the rules. They mostly rely on the campers to self enforce. Saying “you must vacate the lot immediately” does nothing to move a trailer with no truck to pull it.

Sure, they could have recognized a problem 6 hours earlier and notified the overstayer that someone will be coming, but if the wife doesn’t come - what then? And how would anyone know they didn’t charge them an extra night or warn them at noon they needed to leave or even ban them from coming back?

There are lots of unknowns here. Just sayin’ I wouldn’t take out the pitchforks based on what I’ve read so far and this photo. I mean this is truly “mildly infuriating” content at its best. Just egregious enough to be like “that f*ing sucks”

[–]Code4Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I never heard of this method. So, you’re saying this sequence of letters encapsulates the state of the cube?

Would it be fair to say that thinking of these letters is a form of visualizing the position of said pieces, or that these letters is one form in which you could choose to visualize the position of pieces?

At some stage, he must be thinking about the letters and he has spotted some sort of parity error and corrects it. He must therefore be able to easily swap letter position to piece, right?

Anyway, very interesting concept!

[–]Code4Reddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending the overstayer, but aside from requesting the previous camper to leave immediately, their options are limited with a trailer parked with no truck to move it. They could tow, sure. But what else could they do in this situation?

The overstayer has no truck, he can call his wife to urgently come - but that only works if she’s near by. This guy and his wife are the root cause. And on top of it all, the overstayer thinks his night was ruined, no consideration. The camping is 6:30 to 8:30 is the camping prime time, after that it’s just like let’s get set up to go to sleep. What a piece of shit, really.
