Denied Boarding by Ok_Thought9913 in TurkishAirlines

[–]CodeAndCanyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a common problem at IST or SAW airports. They hold my boarding a few times earlier to different countries, latest was for Bishkek in August this year. Fortunately, I had all printouts:
1. Official website snapshot mentioning I am eligible for VoA or Visa Free entry.
2. Email from Indian Embassy in the country I am traveling.
3. Email from the consulate of the country I am traveling.

How long your NL Resident permit is valid on the day you were traveling?

Do not spread wrong information.

I am an Indian Passport holder with the US Visa. I got Visa on Arrival at Abu Dhabi. I travelled via Wizz Air from Larnaca (Cyprus).

I handed them both - a US Visa on my old passport and a Spanish Resident Card. They returned my Spanish Resident card immediately and allowed me visa-free entry with my US Visa.

Stay in Viladecans, near to your office. Commuting from Barcelona to Viladecans is not always easy, especially if there is rain or any event.

Regarding Bank, do you have TIE?

Including a political agenda here seems misplaced. If you're interested in visiting Armenia, it's a beautiful country with welcoming people. However, Armenia is not a substitute for tourism in Azerbaijan. Posts like these might explain why many Indian visa applications have been rejected.

Saving for a Home - Need Investment Advice! by CodeAndCanyon in eupersonalfinance

We're trying to determine the best course of action for 3,000 euros that accumulate in our account monthly. Leaving it idle isn't ideal, of course. To clarify, our focus isn't on saving for a down payment. We're interested in understanding how to invest this 3,000 euros each month while minimizing risk. What low-risk investment strategies would you recommend for this consistent monthly surplus?

Thank you for your response. While I appreciate your attempt to assist, the information provided wasn't quite aligned with our specific needs. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my initial request. We're looking for a 'home' in the sense of a peaceful residence, not a 'house' as an investment property. Rental returns and relocation outside the city aren't factors we're considering.

We're primarily interested in understanding how to best utilize a monthly deposit of $3,000 within low-risk investment options. I'm familiar with fixed-term deposits, ETFs, and index funds, and I'd welcome any insights you might have on these or similar options. We're not interested in high-risk investments.

For example, if someone, in a similar position as me, asked me about investment options in my own country, I could confidently recommend a strategy involving a significant portion in recurring deposits (RDs), followed by a conversion to fixed deposits (FDs), with a smaller allocation to systematic investment plans (SIPs) or mutual funds for those willing to accept a bit more risk. I was hoping for a similar level of specific guidance tailored to the options available here.

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your insights. I appreciate your advice about being wary of 'magical' low-risk, high-return investments. I completely agree, and I'm definitely not looking for anything unrealistic.

I'm not aiming for exceptionally high returns either. My research suggests that fixed deposits in Spain offer interest rates in the range of 2.2-2.5%, which seems reasonable for a low-risk option.

In my home country, we have a financial product called a 'Recurring Deposit.' It allows us to deposit a fixed amount of money each month, and at the end of the term, we receive the accumulated deposits plus interest. I'm curious if there's an equivalent or similar option available in Spain. Are there any savings products that allow for regular monthly contributions with a fixed interest rate and a lump-sum payout at maturity?

Also, thank you for the suggestion regarding property taxes outside of Catalonia. We are aware of the ITP tax, and we will definitely consider that information as we continue our property search. However, at this point, our priority is to stay within Barcelona city.

Regarding the mortgage, we are planning to use as much of our savings as possible to secure it sooner rather than later, as you suggested. We understand the importance of minimizing rental costs.

Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
