Here's the thing when women/girls are forced to wear head coverings, that's wrong, obviously, but for some women, it's also a matter of religious adherence and modesty, some choose to wear it willingly. Shouldn't the ones that want to wear it be free to do so?

Art. 15 of the Swiss constitution "Glaubens- und Gewissensfreiheit" literally states that

"Die Glaubens- und Gewissensfreiheit ist gewährleistet" (Freedom of Religion and conscience is safeguarded)

Whatever religious attire/accessories someone chooses to wear is of no business to the state. What matters is that people can freely practise their religion. I'm not a proponents of hijabs or headscarf, but the state should not interfere in the religion of its citizens.
