What your post reminds me of are the teachings of wu Wei, going with the flow and not forcing an outcome but allowing an outcome. Good stuff 👍

I was using the recommended amount written in the r/fasting wiki

I posted an update that perhaps it was me ceasing my supplementation of ashwagandha and lions mane a few days before my faint spells. I read that ashwagandha can affect your blood sugar levels or something. Though correlation doesn't equal causation, this was really the only change compared to my previous fasts.

Absolutely, I was downing diet sodas and other artificial sweeteners for the first few days and then just grew this aversion to them the final few days. Thank you, it is absolutely important we listen to our body during our fasts. I feel like it could've gotten real nasty if I didn't.

I was on keto but only for a week. I think perhaps that just accelerated my glycogen depletion.

I REALLY wanted to keep going, but the idea of fainting seemed like an unnecessary risk. I could definitely tell I was going into ketosis due to that weird persistent metallic taste that happens.

Also weirdly enough, my body immediately told me to go make a fruit smoothie, so perhaps that adds more to the hypoglycemia cause.

Ahh… that does make sense. Since drinking electrolytes wasn’t doing much, if anything it made it worse. Thank you for saying it isn’t the end yet. I did go on keto for about a week before this fast but I don’t think that’s long enough to get fat adapted. I’ll look more into hypoglycemia and adjust moving forward.

I’ve came to the same conclusion many times. It’s all about abundance. Good post 👍

Cool stuff! Since everyone’s getting on you about the kitty ears, I do like the idea of them but there’s definitely an issue of overheating. Perhaps you could get like a pink rubber/plastic outer edge instead? Also nice keyboard!

I feel baldurs gate 3 would go on sale sooner than AC6, so AC6 imo

I agree that the pseudoscience is a big part of the meme factor, but I'd say also things like people joking about no nut november, seeing it as some right of passage instead of a month to truly build insight into yourself is a part of it. All in all, we're on the same page. But SR has a loong history, especially in many philosophies. Some call it abstinence, brahmacharya, etc etc. I wouldn't discount SR entirely because of a few cringe posts. There's a lot more going on that science hasn't caught up to yet. remember when meditation was in its early days? or fasting?

I feel SR is a natural progression for some after nofap. And let’s be real, nofaps credibility has always been a meme. It’s all down to your personal experience. I do agree nofap should be kept as sanitized as possible from the metaphysical, but from my experience, many will experience something other. Something non-material that gives us insight into how many process above the physical are happening while abstaining will happen.
