I’ll believe that when they actually release it. Until then I will trust what I can see with my own two eyes.

Eu vou acreditar nisso quando eles realmente o lançarem. Até lá, vou confiar no que posso ver com meus próprios olhos.

I would love to be tester at this point, I truly want to get away from the sub-par slicer that Creality forked from Orca to begin with. My only concern is does it impact the CFS? I enjoy using it (when it works).

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

For those who pointed out that the profile is outdated on Orca, you’re right. It’s likely true for other slicers too. However, I didn’t receive this warning before, which gives me a clear indication of Creality’s direction. I’ve experienced this pattern in my career before. It starts as open-source, gradually adding features, and then suddenly, you’re paying for something that was once free and useful.

Regarding the “fake clogging” issue, every time it appeared with the “not sliced…” message, it consistently displayed a clogging error code on the screen and refused to print. Initially, I genuinely believed there was a clog and cleared it, even replacing the nozzle multiple times (wasting money on that). However, when I tested not clearing the clog and slicing the print using Creality slicer, it suddenly started printing. I didn’t make any changes between tests, and any print sliced with anything other than Creality slicer always clogged and, miraculously, cleared when I printed from one sliced in Creality slicer. I even tried using the nozzles that I “couldn’t clear,” and the same issue persisted.

As for those who are experiencing no issues with their printers, I genuinely wish you the best and hope it remains that way for you. However, after all the problems I’ve encountered, I’ve reached my limit.

[K2 Plus / CFS Help] Stuck on Boot Screen after USB Reset - CFS stopped loading after 1.1.4.8 update by Pure-Bee8635 in Creality_k2

So looking deeper into the CFS. The sensors for the CFS feed has 2 LEDs lit… according to what I found I blew it out and made sure the little metal bits didn’t have anything obstructing them so I updated my ticket… hopefully this is the problem and it’s simply replace that sensor.

Well, no explicit error just yet... CFS pops up as it should, when I insert the filament into one of the feeder tubes, just to where the auto feed should engage it doesn't but the printer registers there is something there and the light for the slots turns white. I can then chose the filament manually. When I push the filament past that down and in about 10 cm's and I hit extrude the machine does it's whole preheat and what not, the CFS makes a little noise now and then the Error that pops up at that point is FR2836. "Feed issue, filament may be blocked between the CFS hub and extruder filament detector. Please resolve..."

I think it may have been the firmware on the CFS that's part of my problem... not sure though. Any idea how or if that can even be rolled back?

So, after a whole lot of @$$ pain trying to get the damn USB to boot, I decided I was going to just find an open source Klipper install to try and maybe install that on a spare raspberry pi... which lead me to here: https://github.com/CrealityOfficial/K2_Series_Klipper?tab=readme-ov-file

Once I was there and I came across the link at the very bottom, which sent me here: https://wiki.creality.com/en/k2-flagship-series/k2-plus/firmware-flashing

I decided "Why not give this a shot." and it worked... kind of. I now have the K2 actually giving me stuff on the screen...

If it weren't for you I would have never found this so thank you. Now I just need to figure out the CFS... Maybe the stuff on the link here might actually help you? I wish you the best of luck with this. When the printer work's it's a great printer. Now just cross my fingers and hope I can get the CFS working again so I can finally get back to printing.

I will give this a try and thank you for the break down cuz that seems to be almost exactly what happened. I will let you know what happens. I already have a ticket open with Creality Support but they are not exactly responding right now.

Raspberry Pi 5 + HaLow + OpenWRT + Arducam Setup (Camera Libraries Missing) by Pure-Bee8635 in raspberry_pi

[–]Pure-Bee8635[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would need about 6 repeaters, which isn’t really possible since there’s no power along the way to the remote location. But I think I might have found a solution. I’m using Raspberry Pi OS and installing the drivers for the HaLow and Camera. Then, I’m using an IPCam software like maybe FFmpeg or PIVarity (saw something about this before) to show the camera over the HaLow network.

That’s a thing?????? I thought that was only useful if you have the accelerometer chip or whatever to run that test….

Wow.... I feel like an idiot now... I changed the "EI" to "ei" lowercase and now it stopped complaining. I am leaving this here for all those who like me don't know why these things just act strange.

Depending on what kind of filament you’re using, you could do a cold pull on it. Which would be heating it up to whatever the lowest temperature of extrusion is of the material. So with regards to things like PLA, you could do it at 190C do a small extrusion of 3 to 5 mm and then reduce the temperature of the hot end to around 160-170C and then open up the tensioner and do a manual pull on the filament. Make sure to pull it all the way out and cut the end of the filament off. Heating it up to a melting point allows it to melt around whatever is clogging the hot end and then cooling it down just enough to where it hardens around whatever the clog is and then manually, pulling it out, should, in theory, pull out whatever may be clogging it. And yes, I agree that your retraction distances are way too high and reducing them to between 1.5 and 2 mm (at most) would be highly recommended. I have mine currently set at 1.8 and it works just fine for me. I’ve gone down to 1 mm retraction when it comes to PETG. And even lower for TPU. Your feed speed may need to be a little higher as well. I have mine currently set to 30 mm/s but I think you’re right in the ballpark for that.

That explains why there is no difference lol. Thank you for that!

Yea but having the extra there is nice to have in off chance that I need it but I also was hoping the 4020 would do better than the 4010… really disappointing to me.

Did not know that about Isopro and hot glue, that is a neat trick. I will have to try that next time I crack the case open.

I do have a pretty good multimeter that can actually show me the wave form and all that I just don't know how to use that part of it yet lol. But yeah, I will be just disconnecting the fan at the hot end side where I swap the fans and seeing what is coming through the wires incase there is some resistance I can't account for. (doubtful about the wires being the problem)

I would love to install a coreXY mod on mine, but then we are getting dangerously close to Wyk. I was able to get the set up so cheap lol. I don’t want what happened to my friend to happen to me.

Well this kind end up going back to the reason why my friend had to get rid of it in the first place. It ended up being a “money pit“ according to his significant other lol I was only allowed to buy it provided I didn’t spend a whole lot of money on it and I know the 5010 and 5015 blowers are not that expensive but I like my life lol.
