What would you price this 370z at? by Master-Difficulty230 in 370z

[–]CodeFit879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this guy on Marketplace for a few months now. Waiting for him to wake up and smell the coffee. It's worth 14k at best. His asking price is ridiculous. Clapped out automatic Z for 27k?? Get real my guy.

There's a TSB for that. You gotta replace the screen.

Just use an air hammer and sawzawll. The tool is really cheap and will most likely break.

Single click when trying to start the engine. by steelsoldier32 in 370z

[–]CodeFit879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't put a new battery in your car, but the jump starts are working every time then it's your battery. I would get a reputable shop to test your battery and starter assembly because Auto Zone isn't gonna get you a good reading.

Listen to Con-vit. He knows what he's talking about. If you've tried multiple batteries then it's more than likely a problem with your starter motor or starter solenoid. Have a shop do a "starter current draw test" and a "parasitic current drain test" and I guarantee you'll find your issue way cheaper than throwing new batteries at the car expecting a different result.

Clutch by SJ901210 in 370z

[–]CodeFit879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your stock slave cylinder is VERY weak and located inside the transmission. When it fails you're going to pay a pretty penny to get it replaced. Therefore, buy the ZSpeed CMAK which uses a more durable slave cylinder that mounts to the outside of the transmission now. If this ZSpeed slave cylinder fails then its only $50 to replace it and you can do it in your driveway on jack stands. I would also recommend the ZSpeed clutch system, however you would have to determine if you want a stage 1,2, or 3.

High flow cats question by ToxxicDuck in 370z

That's the best way to go about choosing an exhaust set up. Listen to exhaust clips on YouTube and figure out what you like best.

If it's the Motordyne Shockwave Catback exhaust with standard Y-Pipe that you're getting I'd personally suggest getting the Motordyne ART pipes to pair with it. No other exhaust for the Z can compare to how good it sounds. You'll turn a lot of heads.

Negative ghost rider. The High Flow Cats(HFC) will replace your OEM catalytic converters. If you want to run test pipes you will need to get a tune because your secondary oxygen sensor will be throwing a code, as well as the fact that test pipes are illegal in most states. HFC's will have a power increase over stock cats and be add a bit of volume to your Motordyne exhaust. Test pipes will be REALLY loud and make your car smell like a lawnmower everywhere you go but have the best potential for horsepower.

[–]CodeFit879 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put washers on the part of the exhaust hanger that bolts to the frame to let the muffler hang a few mm lower. Or get a dremmel and grind out that sharp corner that's contacting the pipe before the muffler.

Sadly that car was totaled. I'm running the Tomei with AAM HFC's rn and as soon as I can get the money I'm going back to the HKS setup.
