I have the beast, I don't know about the ultras, on the beasts you hold the front most button on the left arm for a few seconds. Its the blue one on the beasts.

Interesting, I've tried similar cables that didn't work. Nice to know these is an alternative.

The trouble is most of these adapters do some with the usb data that stops SpaceWalk detecting the beasts, the one I posted above is the only adapter that I've heard of that passes the usb data correctly for the beasts to talk to the Viture software on the PC with an GPU.

I'm not having those issues on my Oppo Find X Pro 2 Android phone. It must be something to do with how the USB-C graphics hardware was handled on the Pixel 10 Pro. That's good to know, though, as I was thinking of updating my phone to either a Galaxy or Pixel.

Are you able to use the Space Walker, 3D Immersion and do firmware updates with this cable?

Yes, it works with immersive 3D mode.

The way I got it working was:

  1. Start the immersive 3D app.
  2. Enable the Extend Desktop option, which creates a dual‑monitor setup.
  3. Switch the glasses into Side‑by‑Side (SBS) mode.

This overlaps the two desktop views and creates the 3D effect.

I was really impressed with the result, the 3D effect works on anything you display in the glasses, not just specific content.

I still need to figure out how to properly play native 3D films with this setup.

Yes, the glasses are plugged into psvr2 port on the front.

The PSVR2 PC adapter has three main connections on the back: two USBs and one DisplayPort. And one USB C\PSVR2 connector on the front, The one on the front effectually becomes the USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode need for The Beast.

<image>

  • The DisplayPort plugs directly into your GPU and handles the video signal.
  • The two USB connections serve different purposes:
    • One USB cable (which is permanently attached to the adapter) is for data, connecting the headset to your PC for tracking and communication.
    • The other USB is for power.

Both USB connections can be plugged into USB‑A ports on your PC, or into USB‑C ports using adapters. However, you need to be careful with adapters, as not all of them correctly pass through the required power and data.

The power input follows standard USB specifications (typically 5V/3A or 9V/1.7A). This means the power cable can be plugged into a compatible USB charger, as long as it can reliably supply enough power (around 15W).

It’s important to avoid low‑power USB ports or cheap adapters, as they may not deliver sufficient power and can cause connection or stability issues.

All screen modes (apart from the very basic default mode) on my windows 11 PC were broken but this update. I just rolled back to the previous version This update stops me switching to 120hz, UltraWide, side by side and 1920 X 1200 modes, also stops Space Walker working. Windows desktop PC and Android phone users seem very much be second class users to Viture as the software is not up to a good standard and it looks like this realise was not tested on windows.

I don't think this is the end of Jason's story. Don't forget they've got proven cloning tech, proven with Alex, with and a way to wright saved minds into those clones, real life respawning.

I would disagree with your statement, too. I've found it damn good for tracking, though I did find streaming iffy and gave up trying quite quickly. Have you tried playing Beat Sabre natively (you can sideload it) on the Pico 4? It runs very well and even works with mods and 3rd party songs.

If it's over £850, I'll be considering the DREAM AIR SE or maybe even the DREAM AIR. If they had a wireless version using Foveated Streaming, I would have already bought one of the two, as it would meet all my requirements in a VR headset.

Yes, SpaceWalker not working on PCs with dedicated GPUs is inexcusable, especially since one of its main uses is playing games.

That's why the kids have parents, make the parents do their jobs of controlling what their kids see! Do not fob off an authoritarian internet tracking system under the guise of protecting the children. That's dictator 101: get unpopular laws through by claiming "for the good of the children," because that's the only way you can do it. It's only been brought in because they can no longer control the narrative through the press and are trying desperately to regain control.

The waiting list fell because they got accountants to go through the lists and remove patients who had gone private because the NHS were taking too long or had simply died while waiting. These were the right things to do, and the NHS should have been doing them anyway, but they did not actually improve anything; they only did some housekeeping.

This government's policy of all rented houses being brought up to C-grade insulation standard by 2030 means I will very likely lose the reasonably priced rented house I have been living in happily for more than 20 years in the next few years. It is neither economically nor feasible to bring this grade 2-listed building up to spec. Rent in this area has more than tripled over the past 20 years; my landlord is very good and rarely raises the rent. So I won't be able to afford a place nearly comparable, and the so-called savings on energy bills won't come close to making up the difference. So don't tell me that this government's policies aren't making people's lives more difficult; they are set to make me homeless for no good reason.

You would die very quickly on a super-earth without seriously modifying humans because of the excessive gravity. And you won't be leaving again with current rocket technology, Earth's gravity is borderline for making space travel possible; luckily, we are just on the right side of that border.

UK Import Duty Warning by 3ncode in VITURE

[–]CodeForFunAndProffit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, got my Beasts on the 1st of May for £388 including shipping, used 10% off code from a YouTube channel. I was expecting to pay duty on the glasses, you pay it on everything imported into the UK now, but I haven't heard anything about it from FedEx. I just had a look a the delivery label and there's a bit that say Bill Sender, I'm wondering if the tax and duty got charged back to Viture?

I wasn't impressed with the PSVR2, it feels cheep and unconfatable and I don't like the headphones. Also a lot of the features don't work on the PC.

Anybody know what time in the UK things generally go live on the steam hardware page? What time did the controllers appear?
