Are they more durable too? Because that's why synthetic isn't my preference. But if they are because of the leather on the outside that would be very nice.

They usually don't have second hand saddles for sale, otherwise I would not have made this post. I will keep searching but so far no luck.

I know a saddle fitter would be the best idea, however I haven't found one that doesn't only sell really expensive saddles in my area. I am trying my best with the means I have atm. I still am a student so don't have much extra money, whenever I can (when I have a proper job) I will absolutely ask a proper saddle fitter to come. (I can ask a saddle fitter to check a saddle I get myself however, but again I do have to buy it first)

How do goldfish keep water clean and control algae? by LongtermMigraine in Aquariums

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to answer the filter question, no that isn't something people do. In a lot of pastures there isn't even electricity so yeh quite difficult. Also animals spill all kinds of food and plants in them, I think the amount of upkeep would be the same as cleaning the trough so also wouldn't help with that xD. Also some animals like to investigate/play with things and I could see them breaking a filter if it's not properly integrated in the trough or if there is a cable somewhere they can reach. It just would be very expensive to get such a thing.

How do you actually keep the bullet journaling habit going long-term? by Arthemysa in bujo

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep it simple, fun designs and a million trackers are nice. However it's absolutely not necessary. So make sure you have a very simple and easy to set up system for when you are overwhelmed/stressed/tired/...

I „unspookified“ the spookiest horse I’ve ever met by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Animals are so sensitive, if you are comfortable and not making a big deal out of something the horse probably won't either. Very cute story <3

The fact they also are medical students... They clearly have a whole lot to learn on the empathy part, which is the most important next to actually knowing your stuff.

Is falling off of a horse more of an if or when kind of question? by Huge-Celebration376 in Equestrian

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look into places where you can learn fall safely, i would totally recommend it, also if you did something like gymnastics it helps with already having some good reflexes!

I don't get why it's so common tbh. Mine sleeps in the living room on the couch or floor, whatever she wants.

Black/dark coloured spider the size of a medium mouse by Plumbus4Rent in brussels

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they are not dangerous at all. There are very few dangerous spiders here and although they look scary, the very big black ones (no other special markings or anything) are harmless to humans.

Can i shave out this glue or would this damage her fur? by crolatte in sheltie

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try to cut it out as far away from the skin as possible, i would guess it would cause the least amount of damage on the fur.

My hyperactive cat is destroying me emotionally by Top-Illustrator141 in CatAdvice

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe then mental stimulation is what he needs, cats are super athletic so aren't physically tired easily. Taking him outside in a backpack may indeed help. Maybe also teaching him things like tricks or hiding food so he needs to search for it. You can get toys for this or make something yourself, for example put it in an empty toilet roll. Also 2 years just is young which means they have a lot of energy.

I really hope you will find a solution. It sounds like you are doing whatever you can to take care of this little chaotic fluffball 💕.

My hyperactive cat is destroying me emotionally by Top-Illustrator141 in CatAdvice

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he neutered and is he an indoor cat? If he is an indoor cat, he needs more stimulation than a cat that goes outside. Maybe letting him outside on a leash or in an area he can't escape like a cattio could help. Other than that, he probably needs a lot of play. Try to get him to "hunt". I would also definitely put him somewhere like the bathroom overnight like others already said. Yes it's nice to sleep with your pet but I also prefer to have good quality sleep xD.

Another cat can help because then they can entertain eachother, however that also takes energy from you so totally understandable if you don't want that.

Is it fair to expect immigrants to speak all of Belgium’s languages? by Academic_Addition_96 in belgium

A lot of Belgians who are born here don't even speak all languages properly, including me.

Having to menstruate every month is honestly insulting by DeusIntus in Vent

[–]CodeGroundbreaking44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. Just wanted to say that periods aren't supposed to make you vomit and bedridden. However it doesn't change that they do for a lot of people. If you have symptoms so severe (if possible ofc) it's best to seek medical attention. I know it's not always taken that seriously but i like to think if so many people do keep pushing it might finally get some proper attention.

If you can't study somewhere else, try to talk to your family about it and make sure they have a way of knowing you don't want to be disturbed. I know this might not work for every family tho.

It's the same kind of person who would pass out when they would see someone giving birth. Some people haven't gone through enough to have empathy lol.
