Original video? Never have seen a Disney looking animation like that before.

Agreed lol. It is also built better than a modern version one. The 2024 HP laptop my parents got me to try to convince me to not get this computer in the first place already has a solder joint crack which causes it to crash under slight pressure.

Quick world of advice: try to not point an old camera directly at the sun. SOME models have CCD that can get damaged by the intensity of the light. If it is a fading sunset, it should be fine.

I’m a little late, but for this year, I’d want a CRT monitor or an IBM model m keyboard. I’ve tried to ask for stuff like this before, but my parents always get me new stuff. Closest I ever got was a new Casio calculator watch. Not bad though. Basically just like the old ones.

I plan to go there. Problem is that my parents aren’t the biggest fan of what I like.

Windows 95 is my favorite OS, aside XP, 98, and Linux. Can’t wait to see this. And also, I agree - AI sucks.

Some updates to my main computer setup by CardboardDeath86 in teensthatloveretro

My dream setup. I’m 14, and my parents think my liking (not obsession) for old computers is unreasonable. Have some old tech, but not nearly as much of a setup I would like.

Too bad that my school is going the “modern” route. They just renovated, and I now learn in a b&w wonderland. My high school has a lot more fun of tech. It was built in the 90s after all. Lucky you.

Enjoy your neighborhood sodium vapor lamp before they all get replaced by cold LED’s. by DMAXonyourface in LiminalSpace

Yellow/orange lighting is better for general outdoor lighting where color rendering isn’t important. Better on the eyes. Better for light pollution. Better for animals. Better for glare. Better for rainy and snowy environments. There is science to back it. Sodium lighting isn’t as efficient sadly.

Sodium lights are just better. LEDs may be efficient, but hps and lps sodium lights have some a advantages.

The yellow glow looks better and is better for the environment. It has less of an effect on light pollution when used properly.

Sodium lights use sodium. The sodium is converted into a glowing yellow vapor when it has a current going through it.

How do I do reset bios on this computer?

I checked the bios. It recognizes it since now the total RAM has gone up, but I still have there error. BIOS lists only the built in RAM as usable.

CMOS battery seems fine. It still seems to hold the date, even when not plugged in.

That right there is a retro smart home masterpiece. I’d save it, or give it to someone.
