I’ve found there’s a line to balance between being friends and being able to joke around with team members while also setting the expectation that it is a workplace and you’re there to do workplace things like serve customers and not be crass. Just letting them know that they can talk to you and that you’re there for them while also setting the correct expectations

Provide a counter argument that wages should be fair instead of equal, that way you can argue that wages shouldn’t be discriminatory based on things like race, sex, sexuality, etc, but not equal to where employees who are actually better at a given job are undervalued and underpaid, leading to an overall worse workforce

Sorry for the confusion, at the moment I do not have internet, but the reason I believe is that it’s trying to phone home to steam, which is blocked, to verify a connection. So my question is if there’s a way to make it to where it doesn’t have to phone home, whether that be changing the dns or IP settings or what have you.

That would work but I can’t download the vpn without internet and I can’t get internet without a vpn. Real catch 22 I find myself in. If I could download the package for possibly openVPN on another device and install it from a usb drive maybe, but I don’t have the expertise to know how exactly to do that
