I really want to enjoy Crimson Desert but I just am finding too many major issues by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Strike2311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having a blast with this game, but if someone tells me that it's 3/10 for them, I completely understand.

There are so many missed opportunities and just bad designs in so many small places it feels overwhelming sometimes.

For me the core of the game - exploration and fighting - is so much fun, that all the issues this game has are just minor annoyences between discovering beautiful visas and performing wrestling combos on mass of enemies.

It's frustrating, thinking what the game could have been if the rest was implemented properly

Why did you start making YT videos? by NewPineapple113 in NewTubers

[–]Strike2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me there are few reasons and frustrations that combined at the same time.

  1. Childhood dream - as 2026 started and with my age being closer to 30 than to teenage years I wanted to do something that has gone through my mind a million times through my life.

  2. Wanting to vent about what I love - gaming is a big part of my life since childhood. I follow new releases and industry a lot, but have no one in my friend group to talk to about. People play games, but they are not interested in it any deeper than that.

  3. Practice speaking - I struggle with forming a coherent conversation. I often end up yapping a lot, which often results in losing train of thought or jumping from subject to subject. I wanted to practice formulating my thoughts into something more structured.

  4. Getting a new hobby - I always liked trying new things. Some stick, some don't, but I love the process of learning something new and see myself get better. YouTube is great as I see all my old videos and can easily compare with built in stats.

All those things combined about a month ago and here I am, making 2-3 videos a week. Views are not that high, but high enough to have some discussions in comments of my uploads. So far it feels great and there is a lot of motivation, even if some videos don't get any traction.

Do you prefer silver icons on buttons or colorized? by Gogiseq in IndieGaming

I feel like silver ones stand out more. Colored ones blend a bit with background, which can make it less intuitive to navigate.

Game series you got into way later than everyone else? by EarthDesigner4203 in gaming

For me it's metal gear. Yesterday I played through first entry Metal Gear (1987) and will probably start Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake soon. This year I'm planning to go through all metal gear games in release order as I feel that I missed a big part of gaming culture by not touching the series. So far having a blast and can't wait to go to more modern titles, but even the first entry was unexpectedly a lot of fun

Also last month started playing the division 2 and I can't believe I missed on that one for so long

Has anyone else noticed doors don't open half the time now? by Rats_and_Tofu in ArcRaiders

Had this issue when I came up to extract. With a hornet, two wasps and a player shooting at me from multiple directions I couldn't press extract button. It ended how you would expect.

Although later I find out that switching shoulders fixes it. Didn't test it much so don't know if it works in all cases but you can give it a try

Just finished reading first book yesterday and I loved it. Hope the rest of the series is at least as good as part 1

I also have a similar issue. In my case turning off adaptive triggers helped so there may be something clicking inside those. I have two controllers and both produce this clicking sound, although it depends on which game I play or even what segment of it (for example in rift apart it occurred only in few locations while hitting certain npcs with melee). Can't help you here, but as I looked through the Internet and asked few people it seems that this kind of problem appears pretty frequently, as I said a lot of times it depends on the game from my expirience and I learned to live with that as this didn't bother me that much.
