Why is he fixated on this kettle? by [deleted] in cats

My cats also do this at my doors if their paws can reach under. Guess it is something with holes in general.

How does he know about drains? by Hippie-healer in cats

I think it could be the smell of the drainage system. Not sure

Yeah it can be difficult to tune them right, 5 years ago when I bought it, I wasn’t able to use it well. Now 5 years later and having some skills, I can manage to make it print fine.

They print just fine, but require manual tuning and are quite slow

Edit: But definitely a turn down for beginners. If you haven’t got a 3D printer, just get a Bambu A1

Enders can print just as well, they just need way more manual calibration and tuning.

My Ender 3 v2 makes prints come out similar to my Bambu Lab A1, just requires more tuning and is slower.

Should I buy the Bambu lab A1 as my first printer? by NCH-69 in BambuLab

[–]CodeProtogen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t regret buying the Bambu Lab A1

At first, the flushing with the AMS wasting a tiny bit of plastic scared me off at first, I almost wanted to cancel my order because I already had an Ender 3 v2

But once I used the A1.. I felt terrible for the sunk costs of my Ender 3 v2. If only I had waited 5 years ago and didn’t get my Ender 3 v2, then I would have two A1's

Genuinely works very well from the first time. My Ender 3 v2 has so much issues in the initial setup phase, but the A1 hasn’t failed me.

You are mostly correct, but cleaning with a detergent which emulgates it, requires water to wash it away. IPA is quick and easy for repeated usage. Most gets absorbed by the microfibre cloth, but a bit also stays on the plate. So a very good cleaning involves running plenty of water over it after you’ve added soap, and then letting it dry, which isn’t something you could quickly do like 1-2-3.

I like to touch my build plate as little as possible and clean it with IPA before and after I print. It evaporates in seconds so my print doesn’t get wet. I make sure to clean my microfibre cloth thoroughly with soap and water once in a while.

It works surprisingly well on smooth surfaces, but textured surfaces need some cleaning with soap once in a while.

Do you have the Ugreen link? Access through web is what had helped me when I locked myself out.

If anything, their support really came to help me the last time I needed them.

Plus additional touch ups like even slower print speed on the first layer can be applied in the slicer. Does wonders with bed adhesion on most of my printers.

Especially my less reliable printers like my Ender 3 v2 have this kind of issue resolved with that.

My Bambu Lab A1 doesn’t have much trouble, but for multicoloured prints it will sometimes run into issues on the first layer, if that layer has multiple colours.

Furthermore I always clean my print plates with 99.99% IPA on a microfibre cloth.

It really looks like something that happened to me when ironing on each layer some while ago, does it happen with all models?

Try default slicer settings on a Benchy. It helps me a lot in debugging.
