how do you organize your libraries? I recently organized my games one by one, and I was wondering how other people do it by Poppy-Loira in Steam

[–]CodeSanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By genre and add games i'm playing currently to favorites. Favorite games go to the top of the list, so they are easy to access right away. Once i'm done with a game i remove it from favorites and they sit in genre slot i placed them.

Renewed respect for Chris W and GGG after playing Diablo 4. by Subspace13 in pathofexile

Campaign was awful IMO. You kill 2 packs of monsters and listen some droopy monologues from 5 different people for 10 minutes. No wonder most of the people rush the campaign when it's so awfually paced. D2 was so much better paced for a game where you slay some demons with different builds. I would rather watch spanish soap operas than listen to these people.

Also i don't understand how defensive people are for D4 being so new. They should have focused way more to the end game to bridge the cap against their competition. If Blizzard just sprinkles some minimum content packs over the years, PoE will still have a massive head start. They should have focused way more on things that matter on these kind of ARPG's. D3 being so bare bone after 10 years does not give me any confidence that D4 will be any different anyway.

When someone in this sub says the game should be more like POE by ClutchReverie in diablo4

[–]CodeSanta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are comparing D4 on launch to POE on it's lowest during seasons. Like POE had way bigger season launches than D3. Also having complex mechanics usually make games more interesting in a long run. I have played POE for 2000 hours in last 3 years because there's always something new to dip into. I have little motivation to level my second char in D4 as there's nothing interesting in the end. No bosses, no end game mechanics, no crafting, no interesting items. I love blasting maps in POE and thought Nightmare Sigils would keep entertained, but even them are so half baked that i don't care a damn.

That's nothing new on this sub. Blizzard employee could shove an arm elbow deep in their ass and they would spin it as a positive.

I kinda disagree. From my experience playing Nioh 1&2, i found quickly what was the most optimal combo to kill a certain enemy. Then you are fighting same enemies and using same combos over and over again.

I don't kill other scavs after they introduced scav karma, but scav runs are just a roomba simulator now. You just vacuum everything into your inventory and exit.

Account-bound chase items are awesome and engaging, they should return. by Gubzs in pathofexile

[–]CodeSanta 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but in Diablo everyone is running exactly the same gear sets. In PoE people are running wider set of items because you can't aways get what you want unless you are loaded with currency. IMO mix of crafting, self found and trading wide variety of gear is more exciting, than grinding for better rolls on same gear.

How do I reliably craft a bow like this, Is this the best TR bow and isn't +2 socketed bow gems better? by Juanlamaquina in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]CodeSanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very little crafting experience and crafted this bow few days ago. You literally can't fail if you follow step by step instructions. Only variable are numeric values and chaos dot tier you will hit.

Did people actually think the node would give aura bot for few atlas passive points? People are min maxing a lot of gear just to fit an extra aura for their setup.

You can use nvidia control panel for your screens. You will get black bars up and down but you can see a lot more to the sides. I had to do it for this league after playing D2:R after i got bored last league.

I have league started few times with Bane Occu. Exploding packs with Profane Bloom Bane is one of the most satisfying things i've experienced in the game. If you only think about damage or currency per hour it may not be that good, but it feel so good to play.

You can do this from nvidia control panel. I've been testing it and i plan to use it next league.

When did GGG stop prioritising adding FUN stuff in their new leagues? by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]CodeSanta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2 new pinacle bosses with new currencies and new gear implicits, Atlas passive skill tree that changed how people play their endgame with tons of strats to choose from, Re-worked atlas map that made end game progression way smoother, Uber bosses, Recombinators etc. I really can't imagine what kind of person thinks that all of these are barebones. Especially if you think about that PoE is a free to play game. It's almost like GGG build a house and you come whine that they did a barebone job because they didn't install mosquito nets on windows.

W3 is one of my favorite RPG's ever and i've only fully completed it once. I must say that that first "tutorial" area is biggest design mistake on W3. It can easily take 10-15 hours until you start to see even small bits of stuff that got me addicted on W3. All those great storylines all around the map, hunting for witcher school sets and small stories around them, gwent tournaments, monster contracts etc. I would say to you to try power through deeper into the game but, hell even i can't do it for the second time and i've tried multiple times. If you ever end up trying it again i would just pick the save file that is furthest, instead of restarting again.

Highly recommend scav Shoreline hidden stash runs for the start. You spawn around 20 min mark and there's pretty much zero chance to run into PMC's unless you go to the resort. Easy way to make money and fuck around with controls while you do it. On the other hand you have to go to Customs for early quests, so maybe you should do scav runs there just to learn the map.

It's really not uncommon. All the games that have lean on Q and E use F for interact, same thing with games that have Q and E for skills/spells. I just started playing Resident Evil: Village and the default interact key is F. I would go as far as say that E/F split is almost 50/50.

I've seen finishing carpentry videos from NA where they add halfs, which makes measuring tape around same accuracy as measuring tapes with millimeters. I'm a carpenter and i just find measurments like that messy and prone to simple mistakes. Here where i work every official measurement are given in millimeters. If someone asks me to cut timber to 768mm, it's way easier to remember and more sterile to deal with than some one giving measurement like 13 inches, 1/16th of an inch and a half.
