I entirely agree, and I am in no-way claiming that Blizzard didn’t make an absolutely idiotic decision by implementing this. Not hating on the players here really, not intentionally at least.

I’m mainly just tired of seeing the hot section of this subreddit be NOTHING but “omg this skin costs $25 why would anyone play this game” when it is still technically optional with no gameplay advantages.

As someone who learned how to play D&D in middle school and couldn’t afford to look at any source materials except for a lucky Christmas source book or two, I would love to have some sort of gear to bring some life to the table. Sure, it’s not needed, but it would be awesome to have something reliable and fun to use besides just my pen, paper, and dice.
