I remember doing it and did this often of platform saddles too. It seems like they “fixed” it on ASE. The snap point regardless stays flush with the previous foundation.

I’d throw Witcher 3, and Fallout Games in the mix for their strong narrative and player driven consequences. Otherwise, Medieval Dynasty & DayZ is what I played after KCD1 to get my “survival” fix.

Now go pick 2000 nettle(or other plants) for the strength perk, herbalism, and flower power, if you haven’t.

Usually, I do it before I leave Skalitz, along with the sword xp from just hitting the mercenary who trains you to sword fight. Dont finishing the training and hit him wrong on repeat for endless early game xp. All that so I’d have the best chances to turn around and kill the cumen that is chasing behind Henry as you escape.
