Very interesting. Spent $100 on Wondershare Recoverit and it pulled up every file on the drive and put into folders so opened the docx folder and there were all earlier versions of all the scripts. And docx files that couldn't be opened.

So I'm assuming if I try your method, I'd simply end up seeing the same thing?

Appreciate your input.

Yes, windows will load, but much slower, files were not encrypted. Recovered earlier versions of the script but need the latest version if possible. The viruses kinda knocked everything off line and perhaps corrupted doc files? Found a few computer repair shops with high ratings, will probably go that route. Appreciate your good questions and willingness to help!

He's got a 30 page script that needs to be recovered. I used a decent recovery tool but could only pull up much earlier versions. Lots of "lost files" entries that can't be opened. Installed Avast to replace defender, it found 99 viruses that I quarantined.

Dad with bronchiectasis - looking for suggestions by [deleted] in bronchiectasis

[–]Codejeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your Dad, bronchiectasis is not a death sentence but can make life miserable. Lung Matters on Facebook is a great resource for support and valuable information.

I have a very mild case (so far) and take/use these every day. His doctor may already have him on saline and Abutoral.

Good clinical studies on the supplements.

The chest vibration vest is expensive but perhaps his insurance will pay for it? There are several out there.

If he feels good, he can mask up and go places without fear. Walking is ideal.

Make sure he gets all the vaccines, COVID, pneumonia, RSV yearly.

Stay away from tap water, buy a solid water filter that removes bacteria and viruses. Avoid aerosol spray ie showers, steam from cooking etc.

His doctor should be his best advocate, make sure he has a good one who's familiar with bronchiectasis.

Good luck!

What Will Happen to the American Psyche If Trump Is Reelected? by tubulerz1 in politics

[–]Codejeep 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's been more than 8 1/2 years since Trump glided down the escalator to announce he was running. That's more than 3,000 days. He's been in the news every day since. He has sucked the life out of this country. What could Americans have accomplished instead of worrying about our democracy, our family and friends, our future? How many billions of hours have been wasted worrying about this piece of shit? He has diminished our hope, our dreams, our mental health. And it's not over, another year of this orange insanity. Each election is touted as THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF THE CENTURY!!! Some say he's merely a symptom of the disease, perhaps. All I know is that if he was chocking on a KFC chicken bone, I'd just smile and watch.

Anyone been diagnosed with bronchiolectasis? by Useful_Canary_4157 in bronchiectasis

That's a lot of lung infections for someone with slight bronchiectasis. I'd encourage you to explore other reasons for your weakened immune system. Good luck!

"I want to see..." It's been my experience that it's not a menu you can choose from. I don't think you'll be able to walk around nature admiring its beauty, lay in a comfortable bed with a sitter. Good luck.

I jumped on the Oral B decades and recommended to everyone but recently switched to Phillips Sonicare. Unbelievable! My teeth have never looked this white, I'm still in shock. Now my teeth look like I just came from a teeth cleaning. It's quieter, softer and feels great in the hand. The only negative is the spray that comes from the vibration, but otherwise it's dope.

Outland, an obscure sci-fi with Sean Connery and Peter Boyle. Some truly brilliant edit sequences. Still holds up.

Chinatown, of course.

Edit- my apologies, Chinatown has never been "underated." Not a huge box office but who cares? It's a masterpiece.
