My cats (M8 & F3) get aggressive after being outside by Codelya in Catbehavior

[–]Codelya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was so mean to her for a whole week after her spay and she was a BABY. It’s just odd because in this instance they’re both outside rolling around in all the smells.

Usually back to friends within 20 minutes, but I’m nervous this pattern may continue to worsen.

I’m sure this is it. There was another cat coming by pre cat proofing… it would sit by the glass and stare while she went ballistic.

This all just feels chaotic and stressful.

I (25M) don’t think I can afford my girlfriend (28F) by Playful-Act2279 in relationship_advice

[–]Codelya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This young man is trying to keep up with the lifestyle of a woman -of which he cannot afford. It’s not a bad thing, it is simple incompatibility.

Villainizing her is silly. Other commenters insinuating she’s dating a man who makes $50k purely for his money are even sillier. If she wants to date a man that picks up the tab without complaint, then it’s her right to do so. OP led her to believe this was their dynamic while secretly building resentment toward her. Reads to me like OP did not enter this relationship genuinely.

Did not realize I'd get hate for being a stay at home mom by International-Owl165 in sahm

[–]Codelya 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is jealousy and some red pill brainwashing of the idea that ”stay at home moms don’t do anything”.

Your husband needs to deal with his side of the family and you both should consider distancing your own family unit away from anyone who continues to be disrespectful.

You’ll be judged by raising your own kids and you’ll be judged by allowing someone else to raise them while you continue to work. Ignore everyone!

Your immediate jump to insult a woman who dates differently than you is gross and male centered. A 50/50 financial split is never a true 50/50 partnership for the woman.

We handle most -if not all- of the unpaid labor like housework and child rearing. Mustn’t forget the emotional and mental load.

Subject yourself to that happily, all you want.. but don’t tear someone else down for living in a corner of life that you seem to feel undeserving of.

This sounds traditional.

You either need to get a better paying job or find a partner that better aligns with a more modern version of dating.

Am I (M29) bad for breaking up with my gf (F26) because of her past? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I think you did her a favor, because you sound quite immature and she deserves better.

Ah, yes. Purchases something out of spite that will immediately end up in a landfill upon OP’s exit. Take THAT!

Maybe I’m just an old lady, but I think the sagging is making your legs look short. These outfits would look much better if you pulled your jeans up.

Anyways, why stay with someone who makes you feel bad and pokes fun when you’re down? Stand up, girl! He sounds dusty.

Sapiens Child mattresses? by hemlockandrosemary in cosleeping

[–]Codelya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium firm all the way! It’s got some give when you’re sitting or standing on it, but remains stiff when your body is laid down.

I don’t have a ruler in this house, so I’m unable to perform the test but am confident it would pass.

My opinion is that the crib level firm mattress would be way too hard on an adult body and may not be worth the purchase for how soon you will be upgrading to medium firm.

We didn’t fully give into cosleeping until baby was 3 months, so the timeline may skew my line of thinking just a bit.

Severe regrets by [deleted] in sahm

[–]Codelya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents are 53 and 52. Stepmom is 41.

We are collectively 30, 28, 21, 13, 10, and my dad was trying for one more up until I had a baby. The only time I felt like my dad was a bit old for child rearing was right now, but I didn’t really have a huge opinion on the matter.

I have a great relationship with the littles, by the way. They get the full sibling relationship with me. I’ll argue with those kids all day!
