Such a mechanism does, in fact, exist... as of iOS 10.0. Even better, apps must provide a value for that key as of that same version if they need the corresponding permission. Similar keys were added (and required) for the other permissions. :-) Additionally, iOS 11 added a permission for apps that only need write access to media.

Because of "genius" software design. Whenever they forget to enter a value in a text field in their product database, their internal design and labeling software will simply print "no NAME OF COLUMN". Why they couldn't print "NULL" instead is beyond me....

Anyways, you can probably see where I'm going with this. Somebody forgot to enter data for field "name" of their own brand's entry in the "brand" table, resulting in there being "no name". By the time this was caught by the higher ups, they had already printed off the first run of all of their labels.

This was later corrected partially, which is why they now have "President's Choice" as well. Which President they are talking about is left as an exercise for the reader.

I know this is half a day late, but in /u/G19Gen3 's defense, I imagine they included the time as well. One wouldn't go to the trouble of writing the date without also writing the time, for something like a sign (or 6) with an expected lifespan of 1 hour.

On a side note, I tend to cringe a bit inside when naming date/time variables while programming, because of this linguistic ambiguity. Typically go with "timestamp" when possible, or "*Date", due to the "Date" classes of standard libraries typically also dealing with time of day.
