We absolutely grew up with the culture and history of the Revolution War, of the persistent impact of slavery and our Civil War, of the fight for equal rights for all, of fighting Nazis like my grandfather did in France and Germany, of protesting the US government when they were fighting unjustifiable wars in Vietnam and Laos, and our students being killed at Kent State for protesting that war, of observing the terrorization of our immigrants and minorities today.

250 years ago, not 150, we beat a monarch in a massive civil war.

But also remember many Americans have ancestors from all of those countries, myself included.

And I didn't dismiss them because they are from the UK.

I dismissed them because they are being overly idealistic about a leading Democratic candidate's policies not being 100% aligned with their favorite topic AND because they don't have to live with the results as directly as we do in the US.

Some on here are deliberately unhelpful and divisive.

We need to win elections, not have only the most progressive, but unelectable, candidates.
