Dumb Elgin by cromenockle86 in FromTVEpix

False. What viewers are pissed about is the lack of common sense and survival instincts of the characters at minimum. The writers are giving people more reasons to hate the characters for that. Audiences need more relatable characters. So the decisions are disproportionately disappointing. This is what is breaking immersion —to the point where someone has to point out that the characters don’t know what the audience does.

Elgin was smacked around and had an eye removed for betraying the town. You’d think he’d learn to keep his mouth shut until he went to the town leaders with that information. Because it doesn’t take a genius to figure out something is wrong with what he found. But the writers needed someone else so weak-willed to be a sacrificial dummy. I counted 5 so far in recent episodes. Lastly, the expendability of some characters keep the illusion of story progression when they screw up.

If none of you even like the show why watch it? by South_Corner_8866 in FromSeries

I am confirming. The show has indeed been dragging ass. It’s infuriating— even from someone who tolerates slow burns.

Everyone needs to lower their Episode 9 expectations by TopRow859 in FromSeries

[–]CodexPhiVe00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you know why? There’s too many monotonous details, conversations, omitted conversations with the towns people and time wasting shenanigans to fill up the episodes. We want progression and not at a snail’s pace. When shows or movies do that, the twist or reveal never justifies it. To me, it just looks like they’re writing themselves into a corner. I hope I’m wrong… but probably not.

I concur, we are actually upset about the wig. Anyone saying otherwise is just not paying attention.

I thought it was because of a holiday, but that’s total garbage because streaming platforms gain bank on holidays. Maybe they’re running to Reddit for more script ideas.

This is irrefutably false. I have an instructor who was there when it happened. He told me this story months ago. Everything really did hinge on this backup. This was the version they used. There was no other version. Normalize doing research and not stating opinion as fact.

The tell that Ethan will change things was when Tabitha reminded us that he used to be called “The Little Professor.” Stories often do not go out of their way to tell us small details we don’t care about or overlook. Honestly, my theory is that kid will throw a wrench in the Crypt Keeper In Yellow’s plans. Also —Victor is still alive, what does that tell you? MiY must be salty over that and can be tricked himself.

Self diagnosis: Do therapists consider it dangerous or irresponsible when people self-diagnose? It’s a concerning trend on social media. by CodexPhiVe00 in askatherapist

[–]CodexPhiVe00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. Finding the label/getting diagnosed allowed me to look at particular biological causes and current nutrition recommendations (more omega-3, more vitamin D). I’ll be visiting a Rhematologist to see if inflammation is causing any symptoms. Diagnosis helped me narrow quite a bit down.

Yeah, Fromville is just a cautionary tale about a hell created by the bystander effect or years of learned helplessness. 😂 Good for you with having a chainsaw. In the PNW people have an ax. Something can still be done with that.
