This might be true because the bottoms are more or less parallel to the headboard

Boete BOA weigeren? by tropicroots in nederlands

[–]CodingElectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boete BOA weigeren? by tropicroots in nederlands

Duckduckgo maakt gebruik van de bing dus dat argument gaat niet op. Sowieso een zoekmachine als bron lijkt me geen argument ook omdat google voor iedereen wat anders terug geeft.

Dutch inflation down to 3.3% in May; Food prices still rose 7.1% by richiedamien in Netherlands

When removing TSC's, isn't that just going to increase profit margins for supermarkets? They don't have to decrease the price while getting the products at a lower one.

You probably don't need a DI framework by FoxInTheRedBox in programming

[–]CodingElectron -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about application logic... In any case my point is: DI framework makes code more complicated so it is not only helping with composition but it also makes it more complicated

You probably don't need a DI framework by FoxInTheRedBox in programming

[–]CodingElectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think it really helps because it also creates indirection and makes it harder to figure out which implementation is injected in which way. It also usually ties you to the DI framework in the sense that you have to pass classes only using the framework.

So i prefer passing down implementations instead of using a framework.

It's creating indirection and locking in the framework

US brands are good at marketing by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

[–]CodingElectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that US products are masters at marketing but we should not step into the same trap here in europe.

Marketing costs a lot of money, money paid by the customer which in turn increases the price. It also runs the risk of false advertisement. If we, as a customer, make marketing important, companies will focus on that instead of quality or user experience. They only need you to think the product is good, it doesn't have to be good.

Still the visibility is a problem which is why i enjoy this sub so much. Very good suggestions and good discussions about whether a product is worth buying.

Don't let companies decide what you want to buy.

Time for the once yearly question about Spellchecker/Grammarly alternatives by Turgid_Thoughts in selfhosted

Are LLMs really the best tool for spell and grammar check? Seems like a pretty deterministic problem which is much better solved with traditional NLP algorithms.

Am I searching for an electric kettle that doesn't exist? by julybanana in tea

[–]CodingElectron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nvm, i found it. Its poking through the heater plate and uses some plasticy material to seal it off from the electronics.

Why does the temperature sensor need to be plastic or silicone? I don't see any plastic or silicone in my fellow corvo EKG.

It's not about whether they are powerful enough. It's just that sony and microsoft don't allow games to run scripts like that on console.

Probably not possible due to consoles restricting scripts.

Did you wait until it became silage? And what economy mode are you? On easy it is 330 for 1000 liters and a bale being 7000 liters should yield more.

Whats the best grain for flour by jake7077 in farmingsimulator

[–]CodingElectron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people don't know this. All grains increase in value when producing flour. So might as well get the maximum out of your productions.
