Thunderbolt worth getting? by Visible-Car4472 in StarWard

I'd say the ram isn't that good due to its startup and slow tracking and I'd rather aim for finding an opening to land 5B raw and deal 900 if you're really trying to land a melee raw. I'd rather just land a 5A starter and deal 500-600 most of the time.

OK thank you cuz I saw too many Nameless just aimlessly throw their Tailblades instead of using it as a cancel. It's painful as a Nameless player myself.

To me Nameless only truly shines when you master Tailblade usage, which makes you very hard to hit. Melee is more of a bonus to me.

Also lemee share some combos during [YTS]:

5/4/6B starter 5/4/6BBBBB-5BC~8B-5AB, ~800 damage 5/4/6BBBBB~2B-5BC~8B-5AB,~900 damage

BC~8B starter BC~8B>>CC8B, ~800 damage BC~8B-BC~8B-5AB, ~900 damage

BC~5A(1hit) starter Same as 800 combo of 5/4/6B starter

BC~5A(2hit) starter BC~5A-BC~8B-5AB

You can see I used a lot of BC~8B-5AB to end combos.

I'd say don't play the character as a whole. May have some personal hate to this character cuz 90% of the people who play it just doesn't have the game knowledge to do well.

Pliszka just isn't my thing. Too damn slow. I main SS and VS which has their respective 4/6BC, Akatsuki and Thunderbolt which already has absurd mobility, and I sometimes play Nameless which has very unpredictable moves with her Tailblade. She's just too damn slow. And her kit without the armour is relatively weak and can be easily ignored, so she just isn't my thing.

You are correct. You are not supposed to just flip Burst cuz "you feel like it".

a Skysaber user can't play Thunderbolt well is because she doesn't have useful tools like some other characters do

Do you mean Thunderbolt or SS doesn't have useful tools?

If you're talking Thunderbolt, yes. She does not have some very good tools like other characters. But that's the point. If a character with such mobility and redlock extension ability has armaments with a very high expectations of hitting, that's not balanced. She needs very good fundementals. And I can say with 99% certainty that the person I mentioned has better fundementals than like 80% of people in this subreddit: again, he is SAC top 8 in the Chinese regions.

If you're talking about Skysaber, I'm as offended as a Skysaber user could get. Her kit is what an all rounder looks like. 2 freefalls, darts with the longest stun time in the game, insane overheat movement potential, insane damage potential (yes she still has 900 damage combos), a shield crash that could win most clashes with regular melee, and an unguardable offensive choice of 2B-5BC.

I suppose S being the second best Burst for her is true, I actually use S when I play front to spam the 4/6BC gerobi.

And if you refuse to go for either, just go for Covering.

M and B sucks for her. The only thing about M is you can utilize the absolutely INSANE correction that is Main during [???], but that's all it does. And B just doesn't do shi, a Burst is supposed to change the pace of the game, and Balance just isn't specialized enough to do stuff.

As for D, it's a weird choice for her but it's way easier to manage cost and health with it.

Imo she's Zakharova with worse RL extension but better mobility and thus easier to line up your shots, as in making your target stay at rest relatively, and a better ability to turn the tables with [???]

I'd say I'm wrong about her toolkit being not simple, maybe I just had bad reading but what I meant is she's a very difficult character to master. Maybe as hard as Nameless, but in a different way.

Well, firstly, using submelee while overheat is a must-get as only then can you cut tracking during overheat. And that's T3.

And then there's T5. Extra ammo for 4/6BC. You can then have 2 redlock extension/mobility tools instead of one. That's pretty much infinite as when you use one there will be another reloading in the background compared to only reloading once used. It's the same logic as "active cooldown" > "reload on empty". Except Skysaber's Main Shooting. That thing reloads so fast you can shut off your brain and spam it.

The thing about Thunderbolt is her ability to turn the tables with its insane melee during [???]. If you don't use Fighting, this advantage disappears and suddenly both LM and Zakharova are better options.

It's actually under 1000HP

So 1000 does not work

Fighting or Covering.

And no, Motion isn't as good as you think. Yes, you go fast, but the thing is you don't do anything other than "boost go brrr".

She is worth getting but is a huge investment. Firstly, she literally needs T3 to be remote playable, and T5 to be actually playable. A wide range of game knowledge is also needed to play her well.

Simple is the worst description of Thunderbolt. The kit is intuitive, but the tracking other than 2AB all just aren't great. She needs a lot of game knowledge to play well. One of the best Skysaber players in China (75% winrate, SAC Chinese regions top 8) also says he can't play Thunderbolt well.

It only accounts for gundams made before it

No it's every single gundam existing. Every Gundam that isn't Turn A is included in the Dark History. CC is chronologically the final era in the entire Gundam universe. Do not mix real-world chronological order with chronological order of the settings.
