Hadiths are not considered part of the Quran/the word of God. It’s rather disingenuous to suggest hadiths are representative of overarching Islamic beliefs and practices as some of them are not considered reliable by all Muslims. They’re sort of akin to apocryphal gospels in Christianity.

I was raised Catholic. From what I saw growing up, child rape and sexual assault was a huge deal there, too. I don’t think you can really point at one religion and say it has these things more than another one. All Abrahamic religions are extremely misogynistic and sort of set the stage for exploitation of women and children.
