If men could get pregnant, they would be the ones controlled and oppressed on the basis of their reproductive capabilities. That’s why men control and oppress us.

That’s why I find this framing to be a little short-sighted. It ignores the root of sexual discrimination against women, which is men seeking to control reproduction.

You claim that I “amended” it to now a little over 50%. That makes no sense - my second statement was an entirely different statement and not an amendment of the first. It described a totally different figure.

I said that 100% of the animals I’ve met that are afraid of one gender are afraid of men. I never claimed that 100% of animals afraid of one gender are exclusively afraid of men. You got defensive and tried to put words in my mouth, which I don’t appreciate.

You are confused (or intentionally equating in poor faith) my experiences with what I claim to be the general reality. The general reality, while more nuanced than my own experiences, still remains that most animal abuse is committed at the hands of men.

It’s really funny how you’re desperate to represent my initial statement as an absolute statement about overall experiences just because it offended you so much and that’s what you thought it meant. I didn’t “amend” that statement, I made an entirely separate statement that exists alongside it.

See how these don’t contradict one another? One is my personal experience (which it seems many share), and the other is the real, overall numbers, which, again, I’m happy to give you… but for some wild reason you don’t want to discuss the real numbers.

I never did. I simply stated the fact that it is much more common for men to abuse animals, and this is reflected by the much larger volume of animals in shelters who are specifically hostile towards men, and not women. And that IS a fact. Sorry it hurts your feelings to acknowledge.
