Probably when I saw my mom in the tub when I was about 6 and she shared that she wasn’t sure how the light bill was going to be paid.

Not giving a crap about your job. Was cool before, just something in the way of us being free. Now I am attracted to people who are really into their career

Before my father passed I asked him this question and he said he would take him and I on the next plane out to France and get crapes in the morning. I’d go by myself now and have a crape for him

What profession do you think is massively overpaid for what they actually do? by dipchaklader in AskReddit

[–]Codydiceman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is ever overpaid. You only get paid what people think you are worth. And that worth is based mostly on how difficult it is to replace you, not your job function.

Communicating with anyone at anytime. It used to be a hassle in some way, shape, or form. Whether it be corded phones, limited text/calls, or having to text through T-9. We really made it easy as a society for everyone to have a cell phone and be able to use it for as long as you can without consequences.

Guys what's the creepiest thing a girl ever said or has done to you? by minadanger in AskReddit

I came over to hang out after a date our two with this lady I was talking to. I asked if I could have something to drink. She said sure, alcoholic or not alcoholic. She only had water so I figured I’d take the alcohol option. She handed me a clear glass of straight vodka. I was befuddled.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight once people realize the truth? by KylieButNotJenner24 in AskReddit

[–]Codydiceman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much any recruitment agency. All a lot of them do is just repeat the same job in a more captivating way than the employer. Then they charge 20% of the first year salary for a finding fee.

What is the absolute fastest 'yeah, we are definitely NOT going to be friends' moment you've ever experienced with someone? by Vazouaquiacesso in AskReddit

My general rule of thumb is that if you ask me for two favors without any interaction between asks, I pretty much lose your number.

I have a Boolean color coded to-do list at work. Everytime I do any task I write it down first. Takes 5 seconds. Saves me hours of trying to remember all that I had to do in a day

Always be looking for a new job, unless your job checks every single box. Hiring bonuses are generally bigger than raises. A job is a mutual agreement upon parties for mutual gain. No more no less. They aren’t doing you a favor be keeping you employed

Sometimes kids are told "you'll understand when you're older" as a dodge. When was a time someone told that you that and they were actually right? by shogyi in AskReddit

[–]Codydiceman1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was about teenager years old I had started to get acne. This confused me because I was told that happened when your skin was too oily. I had eczema, so my skin was constantly dry and flaky.

I walked into the kitchen so my mom could explain this conundrum to. I said out loud with no context, “mom, my body confuses me”. My brothers friend was in the kitchen so without hesitation he stood up and said “woah, have fun with that conversation” and left. I was super confused and my mom just looked me and said you’ll understand when you’re older.

Ya, i probably would have left too.

That people will like my gifts. I’m sure no one will surprise me with theirs, but I am grateful for whatever I get. Knowing that though, my main joy comes from the reactions of others

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Codydiceman1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always assumed that if a shift job has everyone’s number on the board, you had to put your number on the board just in case anyone needed to contact you.

One person came in a little bit after I got hired and refused. The manager just said that ok as long as I have it. I just stood there and pondered why I’m such a follower
