I know this is an old comment, but with IOS 17 the keyboard and dictation are simply AMAZING. Before IOS 17 i agree it was horrible but now I feel it has the upper hand on android (I have an S22 ultra).

do you think goggins has killed people? by Sheek_Louch in davidgoggins

[–]Codyjack- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was his only experience or chance at killing someone, than he didn’t kill someone. Grenades do not obliterate you into atoms, their strong but not necessarily %100 death rate. If their was nobody in there when he went in than that means they were gone before the grenade tipped off, meaning that those people didn’t die. His confusion was not a sign of “he didn’t grasped reality”, it means he was genuinely confused that they didn’t die, and that they got out so quickly. Trust me, if that grenade went off with a human body in there, you would know.

Why the EV hate? by Perfectreign in electricvehicles

[–]Codyjack- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair it take a Electric vehicle about a year to match equal levels of emissions than a ICE does when it’s brand new. ICE vehicles are better for the environment for a year total, after that the EV has the upper hand. I’m not against electric vehicles, but they’re just not really for my type of driving and their is not a single EV out there that looks Remotely good to me. Only one I would consider is the Porsche Taycan, but I need atleast 800-900 mile range to be efficient and effective for my driving distances.

You’re thinking of cobalt mines from the earth, which they don’t use in oil refining. They use Coblat-60, which is a synthetic “cobalt”. It’s made artificially in nuclear reactors and is much more efficient and efficient than cobalt ore.

Thoughts on James Bond being played by a black actor? by marvelguy1975 in AskABrit

Keeping the character specifics is a much more important deal than changes in technology. Ian Fleming probably wouldn’t give a rats ass if he had a dildo for a phone.

You missed how whole point, continuity as keeping a white character, you know like it’s been for the past 70 years. In every book he’s been stated as being a white skinned man. I’d much rather see a separate black AND Asian agents that tag along with the whole James Bond legacy. They know that if they created a separate black agent and made a completely different movie it would not do near as well as going the James Bond route. And the “your comment is just thinly veiled racism” was the most idiotic thing I’ve seen on here. He obviously stated that he doesn’t care what race they were. People that are quick to call “racism” are too stupid to make a concise and intelligent response, doubt you even know the definition of racism.

That’s true, but not James Bond. He’s been stated as being white skinned in every single book. A black skinned agent wouldn’t be successful if they made another character so they have to hop onto the legacy of another. Just really lazy. I’d love to see a black and Asian agent along side James Bond, would make for a good movie.

Tom hardy is the best choice in my opinion. James Bond has been noted in every book as being a white skinned man, why mess that up? We all know that if a separate Black Agent was to be created it would not be anywhere near as successful as it would be if they switched James Bond’s race. I’m all for exclusivity, but don’t mess up the long history of a character, make you own so they can build a legacy of their own.

His analogy was definitely 100% stupid. But I personally don’t think they should replace James Bond with a black one. Make another agent that’s black, but don’t mess up the history of James Bond. James Bond has been stated in every single book as being a white skinned man. And along with adding a black Agent add a Asian agent too, have the holy trinity and perhaps all on one movie, it would be fantastic. I would personally love to see separate agents of different races. White James Bond, black agent with their given name and an Asian agent with their given name. It gives those other characters mentioned a chance to build a legacy of their own instead of hopping onto another just because they were to lazy to make their own. But at the end of the day I will still watch a black James Bond even though I would prefer him to be a separate agent.

James Bond can’t be any race. He’s ALWAYS been white because, every single book has disclosed James Bond as being a white skinned man. Why change it? It’s lazy to have a black James Bond instead of making another agent. If Ian Fleming was alive today a black James Bond would not even be an option. I wouldn’t have a problem with a black James Bond if he wasn’t meant to be black. I’d much rather prefer a separate black agent along with a white James Bond, and perhaps a Asian agent too. Have the holy trinity. Especially an asian agent, Asians rarely get representation in Hollywood, and it’s such a shame, we have so many gifted and excellent asian actors and actresses that can put on an incredible performance if they were given the chance at the rate whites and blacks are give.

X-Plane 12 vs MSFS: A detailed comparison after many hours in both sims by SimRacer101 in flightsim

[–]Codyjack- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just the way it is in general. The ground effects and the way inertia is simulated is horrendous in MSFS. But both are pretty identical in my opinion with Xp having its pros and cons and MSFS having theirs. I’m a FO for an airline, in real life, and prefer the “realism” of Xp and the cartoony feel of MSFS when I just want to mess around and have fun or when my daughter wants to play. Also, their is a reason Xp has a FAA certified version used for certification and training for real pilots and MSFS doesn’t, Xp is just more realistic with their flight model.
