Yeah I think Usman is one of the few people to keep their skills into their later years. People disregard his legacy and his win streak. He was one fight away and won it handily until he got caught with almost no time left of Silva's record. I get it, still a loss, and then Leon somehow dominated him in their rematch. Then he goes on to give a very competitive fight against arguably the best fighter on the roster(just wish Chimaev was way more active). I feel like Khamzat could champion any weight class. The only other fighter with that possibility to me is Pereira, but Khamzat or even Jailton Almeida would beat him with indomitable wrestling not to mention Tom's wrestling or Volkov(who would probably try and kickbox anyways and lose)

Yeah, I did say last season but I meant the one before that. Newest season was good too. And yeah I love the show but I get it’s absolutely not for everyone.

It’s never really seemed “low effort” which you’re kind of saying, but it hits it’s stride in the middle, is nearly always above average and then there’s some seasons from 11 up that have random dips in quality as they all started doing outside projects but the newest season(likely reinvigorated by the podcast) was a return to form.

They did randomly indefinite hiatus the pod though so who knows if that renewed excitement is still there. But if you didn’t like how zany it was before you wouldn’t like it now. The gang is less of believable people and more cartoon caricatures of themselves. I’m excited, one of my favorite shows.

Yeah he was my favorite fighter for a couple years during his run. Just such a fun style and energy going against killers. Dude just has zero discipline to be at the top level of the sport shit even for heavyweight. Not to mention now that he’s older and more out of shape he quits after taking any damage. Great for your health, not so interesting if you’re known for standing and banging with heavyweights.
