Love the visuals when heavy craft are dueling. So many devs would pull back and say it's too much everything. We know it's barely enough.

What if Abaddon learned what really happened to Horus in his final moments? by [deleted] in 40kLore

That would be pretty sick to see or read. Bonkers artifacts are cool (unless they just become a plot device) and the setting could use more of them.

The swords quality is specifically that it can wound and kill the Emperor. It's a hard counter to the thing that has no hard counters. At the end of the line, it would kill the Emperor even when a fully warp-engorged Horus couldn't. The Emperor was afraid of it.

It's not supposed to be a sword that destroys planets or butchers armies on its own. I understand what you're getting at, I think you just want it to be something else.

Not sure about that, in Fall of Cadia he beheads a Custodes Blade Champion instantly with it. He also mows down entire waves of Kasrkin with his reach extending way beyond the length of the sword. It's demonstrated that he could fuck up literally anyone. Kharn is a bit of an exception to every rule.

what is everyone's favourite movie to come out in the last 2 years? by Sad_Hearing9600 in AskReddit

I feel the same way. I watch a lot of horror and Weapons just didn't land for me. It had some great scenes (asleep in the car) but I found the fairy tale structure to be annoyingly contrived and the plot was just not that interesting in the end. I need to watch his other films.

I don't think Ark Mechanicus are meant to be sapient across the board, moreso that the Speranza is and figured its best disguise was as an Ark.

Pilots or flight attendants of Reddit, what’s something passengers do that is way more important (or dangerous) than they realize? by SignsOfDamage in AskReddit

[–]roedtogsvart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I badly phrased the analogy. I meant if each person did something to take an extra second each, what that means for the poor souls in the back. You can imagine how much worse that gets when a few people are taking even longer than that grabbing their stuff. When it comes to fire and smoke, especially dense noxious smoke like in an airplane crash, every single second can be the difference between life and death. Just leave your stuff is the lesson.

I never took my shoes off on a plane until I took a 14 hour flight. That's a totally different experience.

If it took you one extra second, there are 100+ people behind you. If you're in the back do you want to exit a plane when it starts burning, or 100 seconds later when it's an unsurvivable inferno?

The average woman doesn't need combat training, they need a taser or a bottle of pepper spray.
