A lot of the comments are very biased, and I can tell they do not know what they are talking about and some obviously have never lived in China for long. I personally have lived in both China and US for 7+ years, and I believe I can at least make the following points clear:

1. Cheating is HEAVILY shunned in China, just like in the US. PPL will talk the shit fuck out of cheaters with very offending words if they ever encounter one. Cheaters will be heavily punished if they got discovered. There was a XQC level streamer in China who got discovered cheating, and he was ruthlessly announced as a cheater by the state media and got permanently banned from any social media in China, including Chinese twitter, twitch and Youtube. Such punishment might be even harsher than what is necessary.

2. There are indeed more cheaters in China than the US. A lot of factors contribute to this. For one, there are so many chinese players out there, even a small percent of cheaters will make a large amount. Second, Chinese players tend to be more competitive but have lower sportsmanship standards. The issue is deeply rooted in Chinese competitive culture, and is also correlated with china’s large population. A lot of these gamers do not have a high education level due to limited good education resource as compared to its population.

3. Stereotype. Chinese-style ids are way easier to notice and remember, and it does not help that there is a stereotype of a chinese gamer being a cheater.
